It's like Pokémon PvP but in Darkest Dungeon.

I understand that people dislike it, a lot of the reviewers seem to understand that they're just bad at the game and that's why they dislike it, but there's really no valid reason to dislike this mode, other than salt, imo.

It's fairly balanced. I built my teams on my own and even when matched against opponents with the highest rank possible, I won some and lost some.

Of course having experience in similar games helps and more importantly, having experience in the base game doesn't help as much as it should, but it's still an incredibly fun mode.

If you're going into an old PvP game, I recommend checking in with more experienced players from any given place that might harbor these more experienced players, they're usually really happy and helpful towards new players and will help you get better.

The Butcher's Circus is a lot of fun and for the most parts well designed. Of course there's some things that are stronger and some things that are weaker, but a good player with a decent team will always beat a bad player with the best team there is.

Also RNG is a large factor, if that is something that frustrates you, you'll probably leave a negative review after getting unlucky, because trust me, you will.

In the end, give it a try, look up some good team and play a few rounds with it, it'll be fun.

Let's start with the positives:

SF6 is much much much better than SF5. We have working online gameplay that doesn't turn into a slideshow within 2 seconds. Of course it occasionally still does, but it's a huge step upwards.

The gameplay is also a lot more appealing and relatively easy to pick up, with a new (optional) control scheme that automatically executes comboes and special moves for you.

The current roster feels unique, with the movesets of some old favorites getting adapted by some of the new characters, which some people like, others don't, I personally don't mind.

All in all, the multiplayer aspect of the game is almost as good as it gets. I personally enjoyed SF4 gameplay a fair bit more, but that's obviously just down to preference, it's good.

But everything except the multiplayer gameplay aspect?

Why is there no way to invite friends through steam, why do we need a "Capcom ID" that we have to create by either scanning a QR code ingame, or manually typing out the link that's written next to it, because you can't CTRL+C it?

Why is the single player mode, the "world tour mode" some attempt at recreating the Yakuza games in Street Fighter, when the games are so inherently different? It really does not work well, or at all for that matter.

Why do we have wacky "EXTREME BATTLE" modes for multiplayer, but no King of the Hill similar to Mortal Kombat or Smash Bros, or anything that is more than just a gimmick, but rather something that people would actually play or use when playing with multiple people?

And why are all the future characters going to be DLCs? I get that it's 2023 and video games have understood that people will pay over three times full price games for DLCs, but that won't stop me from criticizing it.

tl;dr:
Multiplayer is good, but nothing special.

World Tour is awful, why somebody spent money to pay for its development is beyond me.

Steam integration and similar is non existent.

I wouldn't buy this game for full price and it's only going to get more expensive if you look towards future characters. If you enjoy Street Fighter, you'll enjoy this game. If you enjoy fighting games, you'll enjoy this game, but I would not recommend anybody to buy this game for full price, just wait until a sale hits it.

While Outward itself is a game that I'd highly recommend to anybody interested in the genre, the Three Brothers is sadly a miss.

As usual, the enemies, the weapons, the dungeons and the new skills are interesting, nicely designed and very fun to mess around with.

However, the entire New Sirocco Questline, the Caldera region just felt unpolished.

There's textures that are straight up copy pasted sloppily next to each other, with the square being noticably repeated every few steps.

Where as the other zones that you could travel to made a great job of feeling like an open area that's your to explore, there's been a whole different story in the Caldera. Invisible walls blocking your path at every corner, not even allowing yourself to put yourself in harms way if you wanted to.

All in all, Outward is a beautiful game but The Three Brothers feels rushed, unpolished and involves way too much skipping time and doing nothing.

We tried to play, half the players didn't see any dinosaurs and got killed by "NONE" all the time.

Also there was no interact button on the built in controller support.

I love it. It's one of the best games I've ever played. Because of Divinity, I've become a true Larian Studios fanboy.

Early Access Review
After years in early access, the full game has been released, and although there are some occasional bugs and glitches happening in multiplayer, which I assume can often be attributed to people having sub par hardware, it is a thing of pure beauty.

Larian Studios has had sky high expectations, not only from me, but from everyone who's played Divinity: Original Sin 2, and they've absolutely met them.

The game is gorgeous. The landscapes are beautiful, the Underdark seems alien and strange, the Mind Flayer ship at the beginning feels more like a creature than like a ship.

The combat feels incredible. Actually tricking the AI has become infinitely more difficult since early access and while the occasional situation makes you exclaim that what happened was absolute BS, you can maneuver any fight with the right approach.

But the moment it truly hit me how amazing this game is, was a moment when I played this game with two friends and we walked into a situation where I felt genuine excitement to an extent I've rarely ever felt when playing a video game. Suddenly, the turn based mode kicked in, we were expecting it, but having to solve an issue of immediate doom within 4 turns is still quite something. It felt as if we were playing D&D with people who actually got into it.

I can not emphasize enough how much I enjoy this game. It's funny, beautiful, thrilling, exciting, mysterious and much much more.

I'm looking forward to finding out who truly is evil and who isn't.

I'm looking forward to struggling for a ton of hours to beat tactician mode.

Most importantly, I'm just really looking forward to playing more of this game.

One final advice at the end, there's no shame in playing explorer mode, the game can be incredibly hard.

CS:GO Review
Why the ♥♥♥♥ are you trying to turn this into a battle royale? What is wrong with you. The game was fine a few years ago and got steadily worse. Not worth ever installing again. It's truly sad. Let's just go back to CS 1.6
