SMTVV has the most fun gameplay out of any Atlus game I've played. When you get in your flow of traversing through Da'at, finding miman, fighting demons, fusing demons etc., it feels rly good. The game also gives you all the tools you need to fuse the best demon you want with essences, incenses, reverse fusion, and more.

Although SMTVV improves on the original in many ways (better traversal, playable party members, unique skills, demon haunts, new content), it still falls short in some areas similar to the original. Although the new story is a bit better, I still feel it's lacking. They made an effort to put more emphasis on the characters but in the later part of the story I feel like the progression kind of falls off. Additionally, the new dungeon, Shakan, like the other dungeons is pretty linear. I hope in future SMT games they will implement dungeons with more mechanics/puzzles similar to older titles like Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga.

Rly good game. 9/10

One of the prettiest games I've played. The remix of the Ryukotski boss theme is rly good. The gameplay is pretty repetitive and can get kinda old. The mechanics are kinda obtusely explained but the game is still fun. 7/10.

This port keeps crashing.
I've crashed several times from opening up a shop, alt tabbing, connecting a BT controller while the game is running, starting a new scene etc. Just emulate the game.
As for the game itself, it's great. The steam port just isn't the way to play it.

bad port. It crashes like half of the time when I start up the game. You have to limit the framerate yourself or else the game runs faster than it should. I just ended up emulating the game instead.

Made the gameplay more fun compared to P3 and P4 imo. Good
