Don’t do this to yourself. Abuse of FOMO to retain playerbase makes me go mentally insane

Have played since Destiny 2014... favorite game of all time. 5k + hours. Just don’t do this to yourself though. Fomo abuse, horrid, nearly abusive balancing, and cheaters ruining Trials of Osiris since launch. unfortunate what it is now.
In D2 you cannot compete at a competitive level without the meta weapons.
Are you a new or returning player who wants these weapons? Sucks. 90% of the time it was time-gated. Bungie says you should have been playing the game every single day buddy! If not, have fun trying to get the weapon playing against the grinders or glitchers who already have it with anything that's not top tier. You even being handicapped in most of these cases.
I really only recommend the game to people who want to play the PVE and don't care to touch PVP or care about having the best weapons. Bungie does make a fantastic and addicting PVE experience. However even in PVE without the best weapons you wont get into lots of raids. Truly a game.

If you care about a fun grind, entertaining story, and lovable characters.... go play 2
