It's the Dark Souls of online shooters. Brutal, easy to get into, but hard to master. And you will die. A lot. And even more so, in case you don't want to sit in a bush or a building and masturbate camp.

Updates always bring new guns. At this point there are so many variants, that you can play for a whole week get a different loadout every time. And the good part - is the fact that every gun is viable in specific circumstances.

There are bugs, like in any game. Some are annoying, some take way too long to get fixed, but there is nothing game-breaking that is not eventually dealt with.

Local VoIP is a fun addition. You will meet good players, you will meet toxic players, and you will meet ruzzians, no matter which server you play on. Because even ruzzians don't like to play on THEIR SEPARATE RU server with ruzzians.

And remember: It doesn't matter which way you play, whether if you lose or win - you will be flamed and will receive toxic comments. Proof is in my Steam comments section

The worst Battlefield released to date. There are dozens of better indie FPS shooters with less bugs and more features out there. DICE clearly did not care about their playerbase with this release. We should show some support for indie devs instead.

Very well made. One of those rare cases when the videos are both educational and entertaining.

Best value car pack. If you only want to buy one - this is an optimal choice.

This game is a great spiritual successor to AoE2 with quite a range improvements behind it. It features a great tutorial sectioned in order of difficulty and divided in categories. This allows for any caliber of player to jump in and get used to mechanics and keybinds.

After the tutorial you can enjoy a beautifully crafted campaign (that's quite long btw) that is also accompanied by 4k videos explaining medieval technologies and showcasing important bits of history.

A few words about multiplayer: People are still figuring out the "OP civs", however the matches feel balanced overall, and in majority of matches the winner is determined by skill and not chosen civ. Co-op vs AI games are my current personal preference, since the highest AI difficulties actually provide a challenge, and since the PvP does not feature a ranked mode yet.

I've been playing the game since closed beta and one thing I'm sure of - is that the developers are doing everything they can to make the best Age of Empires game to date. They are constantly surveying active community members for feedback and very carefully improve the game based on it. Some hardcore AoE players might say I'm wrong and the game is still far from their beloved AoE2, but AoE4 has definitely brought back some RTS fans back to the genre (like me), and it is THE RTS to look up to right now.


Recommended for each and every RTS fan looking for a fresh game to dive into. Good optimization, fully customizable keybinds, beautiful soundtrack and active devs that constantly work on the game based on player feedback. Solid 9/10 from me.
