i had to refund this game after 30 minutes of playing because i already started to see some weird boundary issues between the siblings. i later found out from a thread that there is an incest part, though optional it's weird. i feel like this game might've had potential but i can't in good faith play a game that has incestuous themes. despite the attempt to be edgy/funny, it's off-putting. truly unfortunate since i actually think i would have liked it if it was a loving & fully platonic brother/sister fully relationship. so many people think this is peak fiction so we're probably cooked as a society.

i totally get the use of themes that are supposed to gross you out and be uncomfortable for the sake of the message/meaning but this was in no way a good embodiment of that. it's more of a wattpad fan fiction and less of a yes this is incest and we acknowledge it's wrong but the use of it is strategically placed to convey something. if you want to add taboo themes, be my guest, but put intention and acknowledgment behind them.

this game doesn't.

also bonus: the community is a bunch of porn addicted weirdos who find enjoyment in making art of two siblings being sexual with each other. these are the same guys that sexualized 14-year-old ellie from the last of us among other underage anime characters.

hands is a unique and fun addition to the texas chainsaw family & i find him to be quite strong. i really enjoy playing him and am grateful you are finally able to break the leatherface obstacles (with one of his perks). i like the way hands is able to combat the various escapes (valve, battery, etc). his barge, ability, and electrical traps make him pretty diverse and entertaining to play. i recommend giving him a try!

i've played through this game multiple times in order to max achieve and i can confidently say i don't recommend it. on a good note, the music is absolutely phenomenal and i really loved the art style. the game made me chuckle a few times times and the writing had some enjoyable moments that i felt i could relate to. however, it is laced with angsty teenage nihilism and socialism + i really didn't have fun? (except in demontower; that was kick ass)

i felt the first half of the game was just trying to get you to like the characters and then the second half was an attempt at a story that didn't make a whole lot of sense. the dream sequences were incredibly boring and conservatism was depicted as a death cult

aside from the woke aspects - i didn't have a whole lot of fun playing the game and the story was just all over the place to the point that i didn't find there to be much of a story. it was fairly unmemorable.

also after some "me too" allegations from one of the devs prior relationships the team who he created the game with decided they would no longer work with that developer (based on the allegations which were alleged) ..... 4 days later he killed himself. more of a moral reason not to get this game. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

this will be the developer's third and hopefully final attempt at deceit.

i have been a member of the community for years, have 2k hours on the original game, and alpha-tested this game in the early stages. all i can say is,

world makers team went from a lively, passionate, and diverse group out of Cambridge, England to a small group of people (less people to pay) looking to make money. this is less about the game itself and more about the integrity and the intentions behind the face of the game. take it as you will.

i really love this game although a few changes need to be made to balance it out and make it even better. i've honestly been liking this game more than dbd recently so if you are a dbd fan give this one a go. pretty sure it is also free on the xbox (microsoft) game pass right now which you can get on your computer for $10 or something

alright as for the changes,

❥ grandpa's cut scene has GOT to go. it's just annoying at this point. xd
❥ some maps are sided for example family house is, you guessed it, family-sided while slaughter house is a bit more victim-sided. i think the gas station map is the most balanced but that doesn't mean it's perfect either.
❥ my personal complaint is that the victims talk way too much and it wouldn't be a problem if the family couldn't hear you. i'll be hiding in a bush waiting for bubba to walk by and then ana will just ask some shi about who these people are, what this place is, or where her sister went lol then bubba turns his fat ass around and the rest is history
❥ lobby timer is too long only because you always have that one mf who doesn't click ready
❥ just overall balance things out between victims and family. look at overall statistics and see who wins more. try to make changes based on that.

to the person that said this DLC does not work on steam, it does. the character's outfits won't automatically change. you need to go into settings when you're in the main menu (bottom right) > hit display > go to add-ons > character packs > change over to the 50's one. it takes a very quick and simple google search. ;)

the outfits are fun and if you're going for 100% achievements and bored of the original fits or just want to spice the characters up a bit, i recommend this! since i got the game on sale and love the game i figured i'll support the devs more (:

project playtime is a game similar to dead by daylight in there is one killer and a group of survivors. 6 max. these survivors have lives (3 to be exact) and when they are downed the killer transports them into a hole. in the hole they have to keep huggy wuggy from getting in through these holes (think like wack-a-mole). if you've played dbd it's like being on the hook. here you wait for another survivor to come grab you out of the hole.

there are three different killers with different abilities. your job as a killer is simple: kill the survivors.

as a survivor though, you must get 6 parts by completing puzzles on these puzzle tower things. each puzzle tower has 3 puzzles and once completed you get the puzzle piece. you deposit it and once the survivors get 6 you pull down this thing (like opening the gate in dbd) & then you can escape to the train.

the game is in early development and that is pretty obvious. there are still a lot of unfixed bugs and polishing needing to be done. i will say the game is fun and i love the music! here are some of my suggestions;

❥ killers need a stun feature
❥ auto revive should be a bit faster
❥ survivor vs killers should be more balanced
❥ penalty for leaving matches
❥ in the future i hope to see more variety in perks, puzzles, killers, maps, and more. the more the better, it will get boring way less.
❥ when the killer hits a survivor there should not only be a sound effect but a bit of a speed boost for the survivor.

overall, i will keep my hopes up for this game. i know the devs have run into some controversy but i hope they can bounce back with project playtime!

i said that the game was one of the most conceptually inspiring games i have ever played as it is a horror pac-man game with a pretty rich story, secrets, attention to detail, and fun yet horrifying nightmares. obviously i would not have not gotten 100% on this game if i wasn't enjoying it. it was a freaking blast. i am so hyped for the new chapters and i do recommend this game... to the average joe at least.

however, there are some negative things to note..

the sheer amount of bugs in this game that have not even been acknowledged is ridiculous. you can go on the fandom page for this game and just look at the unforgivable amount of unfixed bugs. i really wonder if vince (the dev), even bothered to play through his game or put together a beta testing team. i mean the immersion is absolutely broken when you have characters talking over each other, repeating their lines, glitching through walls, and so much more. it's not unplayable, but if you are a competitionist... i am warning you to not even bother with this game unless you want to go through a hell scarier than the one displayed in this game.

the developer is more concerned with releasing f-ing plushies than he is with spending time addressing the bugs in this game. why start new projects when the original one is not finished? even though the orginal has two nightmares yet to be released, they are working on a 2D version and just launched more merch which are these pop figure things... like c'mon. i understand what goes into making a game as a developer myself but with all the funding and support this game has gotten; as a buyer and a player, i expect to want to encounter a scary raging monkey at every corner and not yet another creepy crawly game bug. -_-

old review: the skin is bugged like everyone else is saying. don't purchase until it is updated. it just shows as the default for her, in game and everything.. seriously?? is it that hard... living doll? more like fibbing doll! SCAM SKIN UWU

these devs are seriously awesome. they are constantly updating, keeping the player base aware of the things they are working on, adding vr but not charging you extra, + the game is only $5 a piece which is insane for the developmental work that went into this game with such a small team. this game deserves all the love. the new maps are getting even better (they're not half ass pushing out content). they don't make cosmetic items expensive, they also give you the option to earn robes.

you see a lot of money hungry devs out there but you can tell this bunch is not. they are actually passionate about the game and the player base and it shows. sure the game is fun, but we owe all of that to the incredible team behind it all. ♡
