Monster Hunter Wilds has cool monster variety and not a half-bad story, as Monster Hunter games go. The new moves added to weapons are fun and there's lots of great looking new weapons and armours.
Unfortunately there are some glaring drawbacks for Wilds. Unless you have a beast of a computer this game is going to run like ♥♥♥♥. In my 23 hours of playtime so far the game has crashed randomly 5 times. Textures pop in and framerates can be choppy (I should point out I got a "Good" rating when I ran the benchmark).
Another more minor grievance is that the story missions are very much "on rails", Wilds suffers greatly from the triple A walk-and-talk style of storytelling, you also have to go in and change about 3 different options for your Seikret mount just to get it to control manually outside of these story parts.
Finally, I think that the wound system is fun, but it does make Low Rank WAY too easy to play in multiplayer, I recommend playing the first 15-20 hours of the game solo.
Overall, I think Monster Hunter Wilds could be an even greater game than World, so long as they are able to optimise the game better through future patches and they don't put something cringe like the clutch claw in the inevitable Master Rank expansion.

The most immersive realistic warhammer 40k experience to date.
Not overly complex, but a solid game with fun multiplayer modes.

The main campaign is kinda whatever, but some of the other campaigns are great and the fact you have near endless content from the persistent multiplayer worlds (which might as well be their own MMO in and of themselves) makes this a banger

(Got this for free because I pre-ordered)
Only issue I have with this DLC is they put an item in referencing every companion in Divinity OS 2 EXCEPT Ifan.
They could have easily given you Ifan's crossbow, just a little strange is all.
Still, would've gladly paid for this just to support an awesome developer.

After a somewhat shaky start, this game has quickly become a favourite, allowing me to re-experience the joy of playing the first game again, but with a far more huge and sprawling open world and amazing-looking visuals. While Capcom's frankly bizarre decision on what to include as dlc has been rather detrimental to the launch and misinformation was rife, the actual gameplay of Dragon's Dogma 2 shines through and I'm having a lot of fun, even compared to other open world games I've played recently, I can tell this one will hold my attention for a LONG time.
There are some quality of life improvements I'd hoped would be implemented since DD1 that are absent and there are actually some downgrades in that regard - Enhancing your equipment pulls materials from storage, but this it the only menu to do so and you CANNOT sell items directly from storage.
I would also love better fashion options such as armour transmog etc., the layered clothing system from DD1 allowed for a lot of mixing and matching which is not present (though you do now have a separate helmet & mask slot). Even the ability to hide you or your pawn's helmet would be a major plus.
The inability to start a new game is also rather odd, many people had hoped you could make several save slots, which is also not the case, this is presumably to avoid save-scumming in a game that does very much takes your choices seriously, but Capcom have said that the first major patch should add a New Game button as well some optimisation, as the game not running well, especially in certain highly populated areas has been a common complaint.
Overall, the game is a fantastic open-world RPG, if you liked the first game or games like Elden Ring, but wished the combat system was a bit more dynamic then you'll love this game.

GOTY
I know Larian aren't ones for DLC or expansions but I hope they make an exception for this game.

For The King 2 in terms of it's gameplay, graphics and new features is a very good follow up to the first instalment. It is greatly disappointing, therefore, that the game is RIDDLED with bugs. I have not had a single play session without encountering at least a couple of obvious bugs, from minor graphical glitches to being softlocked to the point I had to reload my save, this is even after several hotfix patches.
According to the team's roadmap, large QoL patches and new features are coming and I'm hopeful this game will eventually be in a more playable state. Aside from bugs there are some questionable UI choices, some characters are poorly balanced and popular characters from the first game such as the minstrel/busker are missing (to be added at a later date).
To anyone who enjoyed the first or who likes tabletop-style rpgs or roguelikes, you will definitely enjoy this game, but you might be better holding off until 2024 when the developers have had adequate time to address it's most glaring issues.
I'm not sure what happened with the playtesting for this game, but it's clear it needed more time in the oven. All the same, it looks like the developers are listening to feedback and have already implemented some minor improvements, with more to come down the line, I'm hopeful FTK2 will eventually live up to it's potential as a sequel.
