sometimes I leave this game on just to hear the sound effects and cry in a corner knowing that they won't make a MMO as good as ragnarok online was

I've played this on a console before and it is safe to say this is one of the best shooter of this generation.
Spec Ops does not reinvent the wheel in any way in terms of game mechanics, graphic engine nor brings up action sequences never seen before in the history of gaming. The gameplay is pretty much your usual shooter. The controls are good, the graphics are decent, but it does nothing different tech-wise from other action games, really. So how can I think so highly of such a "generic" game?

Well, there's the game's plot and what it stands for. It is a reimagination of Josephs Conrad's 1899 short novel "Heart of Darkness". Don't worry, I won't spoil anything. While the game kicks off as a standard "military squad vs the world", as the game progresses it gets darker and darker and what appeared to be just a shalow story turns into a very deep critique of violence, human mental health and even the own game industry tendencies. There's TONS of articles out there the discuss the importance of this game's plot, but you'll have to play first.

TL;DR: the game "disguises" itself as a generic game (and in its mechanics, it really is) but there is so much more stuff going on in this plot that turns Spec Ops in one bizarre phenomenon of the game industry. I dropped the game a few times because he was just "OK" but I'm glad one day I had the motivation to finish. It really is worth it if you're into good stories and some grim stuff.

Castle Crashers is a coop, 2D/side scrolling hack n' slash game. Lots of levels, cool weapons and ADORABLE AS ♥♥♥♥ PETS. 4 starter characters that you can level up and build their stats the way you like. There's plenty of other characters to unlock after you finish the game. The animations are as pretty as they can get and sometimes the game is just plain hilarious, if you're into cartoonish humor. The game puts up a good challenge even in coop, you'll find yourself having to grind a bit after encountering some of the game's bosses/difficult levels, but not too much.

I highly recommend using a gamepad.

Plus, any DLC you buy for Castle Crashers (2 available at the time) helps charity, how many developers do that, right? :)

Early Access Review
Unturned is a openworld survival game. It borrows its mechanics and often feels like Minecraft and Day Z had a baby. Just like minecraft, you'll essentially just have to stay alive, making sure you don't starve, get sick or dehydrated, gathering resources, scavenging and crafting itens to improve you chances of survival. From Day Z you get the whole "you're never safe and other players will be ♥♥♥♥♥" thing. Even though you can turn of the PVP and so far there's no open servers (you have to join a friend game through his IP adress), the game really grows on Day Z shadow, and it stands for nice, free alternative for those who can't run Day Z. The medium-sized map offers variety but at some point - after hours of exploration - it may seem like you've already seen everything you had to see.
Unturned is still on Early Acess, so it's not finished and may contain several glitches and imperfections. The game will eventually get better as the developer (a 16 yo kid from Canada) updates the game. Since the start, almost everyday there are new things.
Even if the game does not bring anything new, it sure as hell do most of the old stuff just fine. It's free, it's fun with friends, just give it a shot.

RIptide is the sequel to Dead Island (more like a big DLC). Aside from the whole new map and a new playable character, it's pretty much the same game with some new weapons, moves and zombie types. If you played the first Dead Island, you can import your character and it will come with the skills you previously owned. This game is shorter and easier, especially if you have your imported you save game. The base defense missions are the best bits of the game.

I recommend Riptide if you think your experience with Dead Island wasn't enough already. If it's your first time going for Dead Island, stick with the first one: it's longer and has better quests. You won't miss too much.

V2 is a no brainer if
- You're into WWII games (which are rare nowadays)
- You have a friend and wants sweet coop fun
- You like to feel awesome sniping

The game is a pretty standard third person shooter, but the bullet animations and "kill cams" are awesome to pull off and watch. The coop campaign and other modes are also a lot o fun.

It's worth at least one playthrough (I'm on my 5th tho)

Fear 3 is no longer gonna make you fear for your life as the game is focused on action from start to finish and even though its mechanics are solid, the game has very few memorable moments. The plot is somewhat interesting (if you played the previous games) but the campaign is way too short.

I don't recommend this game IF YOU'RE GOING SINGLEPLAYER or MULTIPLAYER. If you have a friend and you're looking for coop fun, however, this game turns out to be quite decent. The coop is much more entertaining, and the player two gets to play with Fettel, which has powers and unique gameplay.

TL;DR
+ Great Coop
+ RIDE GIANT POWER ARMORS

- Short
- Somewhat boring singleplayer
- Boring multiplayer

Sidescrolling moba. The controls are easy and the online matches are good.
It's a fun little game, better with friends.

Open world, third person action game where you fight to stay alive and keep people around you safe. You control various characters and do story and side missions just like GTA or games alike. The catch is: if a character under your control dies, he's gone forever, meaning you have to be extra careful on your missions or be ready to find and recruit new survivors.
The game has sweet mechanics and you'll have to manage resources to upgrade your base and keep your people happy. You'll go on rescue, trade, killing missions. You'll have to use stealth and improve your characters stats and level them up. You'll have to scavenge a lot and find better places to set you base.
Aside from some technical issues and some bugs, the game is great, It really feels like you're in a The Walkind Dead episode. The game won't scare you but there's a tension around making your community thrive in this world.
