It's really not the Dragon Age I fell in love with back in from Origins, but it's not bad either. I actually really enjoyed my time going through the game, especially on Nightmare. It has wonderful visuals, a great soundtrack, voice acting is top notch. That all said, the story and feel of the world from this one lets it down a bit as a Dragon Age title, but I have a feeling it will have positive revaluations over the years.

The influence Resident Evil 4 has had on gaming for the past 2 decades of action games can really not be overstated, it's template serving to create countless award winning games and franchises from Dead Space, to Gears of War, Last of Us, etc. And you'd think with that kind of legacy, the devs would leave little changed, and many people before release hoped they would, but RE4:R somehow exceeds again in not only bringing RE4 into the 2020s, but making it such a blast with the new additions that are not only fun but increase the depth of the experience in combat and otherwise. The cinematics and characters, gorgeous. The sounds design - top notch. The story and the narrative experienced, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ they fixed it. The games ability to juggle all of it's added features and keep it well paced - ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ astounding.

It firmly retains the soul of the original but it's just better in almost every way.

You simply gotta play this game

Baldur's Gate 3 is a huge adventure that spans several hours - so many hours that I kind of regret how flippantly I made my second playthrough so achievement goal oriented. When you spend so much time on a playthrough, it's all or nothing. and the risk of choosing "nothing" is to possibly damage the delicate artifice of the game's illusions. Put another way, if you're a player that cares at all for persistent immersion in the fiction and want a compelling role playing experience, try your best to play as earnestly as possible despite what you know already or your ability to undo an outcome. You're going to be playing that character for a while - awkward and unsure of your character late into game - everything 'ill feel hollower. I'm sure others can relate to this.

That's just a personal anecdote of mine to you.

I should not just leave this implied, so I'll say that Baldur's Gate 3 is excellent, and I have to recommend it on merits of presentation, roleplaying/storytelling, fun mechanics, score and sound, charismatic cast, et cetera. It all just culminates into a super excellent game, and you can play it co-op.

In short, that's a ♥♥♥♥ yeah from me.

Skyrim's inherent jank aside, Enderal offers one of the best action RPGs experiences I've had in the past few years, and it achieves this through introducing a whole new world that is vast, detailed, and features a story that treats you like an adult. It's themes are compelling, has realistic and relatable characters, and has a psychological and philosophical bent that really drives the experience into something fantastic and unique.

On the gameplay side, it's a huge improvement over Skyrim's base experience. Skill training has been replaced with a straight up EXP system. Skill books are precious, and you will be poor for a while trying to keep up with the knowledge curve. That said, it's core design isn't so different from Skyrim, so if you absolutely hate Skyrim, I would probably not recommend. If you like Skyrim or can deal, I wholeheartedly recommend this title.

I've spent 3 years on and off of my playthrough of this game before finishing it, and ultimately it was a great experience the whole way through. While Wild Hunt's popularity overshadows this first game, this title never the less shines through with its excellent story, world, score, of which the whole equals to far more than the sum of those parts. I recommend to give this a fair shake if you haven't played.

Castle Crashers is about getting genuinely getting upset that you lost to your friends fighting over the princess's kiss.
