Long queue times only to get thrown into a game where half of your team AFK's. Looks like a game made in 2006. For what it looks like, it runs terribly. NPC animations rendered at 30FPS look awful. Might be something there down the road, but it feels like an early alpha mess currently. Another wannabe esport that is DOA.

A step back from 2016 Doom. 2016 on the hardest difficulty was challenging, but I knew when I died it was my own fault. That's what also made the gameplay rewarding. In Eternal, Nightmare feels cheap, and the amount of times I've died due to the terrain being awful is just not fun. Hate to say it, but this game kinda sucks when compared to 2016. Not worth full price.

Tense. Difficult. Unforgiving.

If those things don't appeal to you and you don't have friends, then you probably want to look elsewhere.
