Played quite a bit during the Steam Next Fest demo phase, the Rocket League comparisons are obvious but this one is also scratching the old UT2004 Bombing Run itch. I could really see getting obsessed with this as I learn the different Strikers, but as a quick tip, Juno's grapple is far and away one of the best offensive abilities in the game so far.

Don't sleep on playing defense either, it's pretty rewarding to stuff an offensive rush or breakaway.

If you were a fan of the classic Half-Life mods Action: Half Life, The Specialists or the Opera, this is the game to play.

If you're not familiar with those, just think of it as Max Payne Multiplayer Deathmatch.

It's got a bit of scuff, it looks really dated but it's still fun as hell and worth a download.

Fun combat and a solid new Western MMO to scratch that itch for the first time in a long time.

Be aware that the vast majority of negative reviews are from people who are sitting in queues for the most popular servers in their regions instead of spreading out to other servers so they can actually experience the games.

If they're dumb enough to do that, are they really someone you would take advice from?

This was one of the game trailers that really caught my eye at E3 and I'm confident in saying that the game lived up to exactly what I was expecting from what I saw. I absolutely love it. If this seems like something that might be interesting to you at all, I suggest grabbing it.

This game deserved a lot more love than it ultimately received.

Now that the servers are up and running again, I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the amount of depth in this game already, and I imagine there is still a lot more capable of being added.

I can't think of any other survival game that launched with a tech tree this deep, really excited to see where it goes.

Must have with a ton of potential if you enjoyed the Skate series games.

The general point that it's "DayZ but fun" is pretty accurate. Then you add in a body sim that every game I've ever played in the survival genre can't hold a candle to. It's pretty deep and a bit confusing or daunting at first but I found it interesting to learn about as I was playing through the game and the body sim was more engaging than what I had experienced so far.

I've seen lots of complaints about loot in the reviews but I was playing on a full official server for others last night and had no problem with loot. Found multiple rifles, shotguns, an MP5, pistols... and I found a good portion of those items in towns, not just military loot. It did take me a good while to find a mag for the MP5 though.

Overall I'm really enjoying it, I'll admit though, I've gutted it out through a lot of Early Access games so the general stuff like servers restarting, memory leaks and some desync are things I've fairly used to at this point. If nothing gets addressed or improved on those fronts in coming weeks I could change my review but if you don't expect that stuff throughout the first few weeks of an Early Access game by 2018 you haven't been doing your homework.

So far so good, can't wait to see what they have in store in the coming months and long term.

Blackwake is the ultimate teamplay game. You crew a ship with a group of other people, one at the helm, and everyone has to pull their weight and fill a role to make sure the enemy ships sink and your does not.

You've probably seen some videos of streams of people screwing around and that fun occasionally but you can't really understand the game until you're playing with a good captain and a decent crew. When you end up in a game that is populated with good captains and crew members you'll really see something truly unique and fun as hell.

There is the occasional derpy aspect of the game, the melee combat is so so and the small arms fire can feel a bit wonky at first but these are all areas that will be improved upon over time. At the very core, Blackwake has and outstanding base of gameplay that's depth is shown by what good players do with it, like a lot of round based competitive teamplay games.

If you're just getting started and loading into the game, just listen to the captain and the players around you. The vast majority of veteran players are happy to show you the ropes and all of the little tricks and good captains will do a lot of the heavy lifting for you. Being a jerkoff will result in a pretty swift votekick. If working as a team doesn't really interest you I strongly suggest you skip buying this one, otherwise, buy it and get your friends playing as well.

Edit: If you're an American player looking for a great server to play on, check out Candlelight Cove. The right server makes all the difference in how this game plays.

Far and away one of the most unique and engaging single player survival games available.

This game got its hooks in deep on me. I've logged at least 150 hours between the open beta and release and I haven't even begun to waver.

First of all, it is important to understand this is a MOBA/FPS hybrid. Maybe more of a hybrid than Smite is. Some improvements could be made to the MOBA aspects, such as maps with three lanes as opposed to the single lane on Incursion maps or the double lanes on Meltdown maps. Though Battleborn has a number of flaws, all games have their flaws and Battleborn is a lot of fun beyond that. If you're an FPS gamer who enjoys MOBAs, or had a hard time getting into MOBAs due to their perspective or controls, give this a try. If you enjoyed games like MNC and SMNC, give this a try.
