This game is literally poetry in motion. DO NOT skip this game. It isn't just a clone of lethal company, it is a digital masterpiece and the developers should be incredibly proud to have created something so groundbreaking.

The implementation of TTS as text chat is also one of the most well executed instances of TTS in a video game I have ever seen.

Exceptional in every single way.

I constantly find myself returning to this game. It's a very simple, yet complex survival game. And I think it's appeal comes from that simplicity, "Don't Starve". The game has kept me entertained for hours upon hours without me ever wishing it was something more than it is. There is modding (although sometimes buggy) and it runs very well on handhelds, be it streamed to tablet/phone or native on steam deck.

This game is worth the full price, and the fact that purchasing the game right now gives you another copy for free is amazing. Play with a friend and enjoy all this masterpiece has to offer.

This is a great time with friends. It's also a great time solo. I love the fact that you can remove some of the tedium by reducing stamina drain costs, increasing carry weight, etc, so that if you want to get into the management sim aspects without the slog of a typical survival craft then you can do it easily.

I would recommend this game for it's normal price, it's good fun with minor bugs and a fairly flushed out gameplay loop.

These negative reviews are wild to me. Guy with 2 hours complaining about a lack of white representation, guy with 0.4 hours played complaining about the size of the world (hasn't left the docks at 30 minutes played), guy with 3 hours complaining that the game is woke because a character is gay.

The game is great, the movement is fun and fluid, the story is a solid 7/10 in terms of writing, the combat is intuitive and enjoyable, and the exploration is great. There are many different dungeons to find, caves to explore, and things to climb. This game scratches an itch that I didn't know I had for a game similar in feel to classic RPGs from my childhood without completely mirroring them and falling short on delivering a modern game. I would recommend this game at full price if you enjoy RPGs that give you the freedom to choose violence or diplomacy, freedom to explore and discover fun and interesting things, and the freedom to play either a brutish melee brawler or a ranger mage hybrid without punishing you for either of those choices. Don't let the reviews from the "is it woke?" nut jobs scare you away. The game is great.

The game got very boring very quickly. The charm wears off after about 10 hours of gameplay and it just feels like a slog. I would not recommend buying this at full price. Wait for a sale or skip this one.

Don't let the negative reviews turn you away. Anyone complaining about the UI in this game is completely out of their depth when it comes to reviewing games. Is it more simple than Civ 6's UI? Yes. Is it bad to the degree that it's unplayable? No. It does everything it needs to in a fairly concise way, its missing some elements and some text is hard to read but the devs have addressed those concerns and are fixing them. This game is also much more approachable for new players than Civ 6.

At it's core it is a solid 4X strategy game that is fully worth purchasing if you're a fan of the genre. There is no reason for this game to have 50% negative reviews when it launched with more features, stability, and support than 90% of modern AAA titles.

The game is not perfect by any means, it has bugs, it has crashes, it has a terrible policy for purchased cosmetics (they are making them account-wide in august instead of locked to a single character), but it is still an incredibly fun experience with a dev team that cares a ton about the lifespan of the game. This game manages to feel completely fresh in this genre without doing anything that changes the already functioning formula for MMORPGs. Playing with friends is enjoyable and the "dungeon" type content (that is released so far) is incredibly fun. I have never enjoyed grinding dungeons for loot but this game made queuing up with 3 friends and running a dungeon 45 times indescribably fun. If you're looking for a great free to play game that doesn't unfairly punish you for being a free to play player than this is my top choice.

This game is incredible. If you make it past the first few missions you will find yourself never wanting to leave the caves, the native creatures on Hoxxes will become your family, and you will be consumed by the Rock and Stone.
