Dork and Dorker.

Love this game. It's got a long way to go but the devs have been throwing out constant updates and they listen to the community, maybe a bit too much even. Requires some patience, you're gonna die a lot. Looking up a video really will help. I could go on and on, but it's a fun game. F2P try it out, if it seems interesting then have some patience, prepare to die like it's dark souls back in ye olde days and get stuck in.

I very much enjoy Melvor and the TOTH expansion. However as a late game player, I'm pretty dissatisfied with the content of this expansion. There is a ton of it but the combat gimmick isn't particularly interesting and the DLC is made to be standalone from TOTH so there really isn't any 120 content.

I actually gave up on cartography and archeology around level 80 for both of them because nothing I was getting felt worth my time and the gameplay loop was somewhat tedious.

If you're a new or mid game player then the experience is probably better but I don't like the argument of "start a new character for the full experience" even if there is a new game mode as well.

I can't recommend this because building expansions as a standalone from other expansions just makes it feel like a waste when one expansion is specifically end-game content and then just early and mid-game content is added.

This game is better put together than games I have paid $60 for. Simple concept executed very well, Admitedly it doesn't look like something I'd pay for but having played it I'd pay at least $15. Get your buddies together for a good time.

It's a fun game. There's some bugs but it's not a massive publisher. They're working hard and are listening, things are actively getting patched and the devs pay close attention.

Game is hard, it's a pvp looter shooter, but give it a go, if you don't like a challenge then try and get some friends 'cause man solo is punishing.

Real talk, I absolutely love this game. A unique fps that pits multiple teams against each other. While technically a Battle Royale game it doesn't really play like any other title in the genre. The main game mode consists of only 6 teams at the most and you don't usually loot your loadout. The game does a great job of encouraging aggression and playing for the full win instead of camping or only taking one bounty. The combat loop while simple is incredibly refined and everything feels and plays quite well. I could go on but just pick the game up, worth it at full price.

Just to be pedantic some quick pros/cons

Pros:
+replayable
+feels and plays well
+interesting graphics and atmosphere
+great sound design
+tactical gameplay that rewards skill (1v3 very possible)
+dying is punishing but game has plenty of rebound mechanics to keep you in it even after a string of losses
+reasonably earnable cosmetics
+fun VOiP interactions
+all of the game design is centered around encouraging good and unique pvp

Cons:
-can have some server/desync issues
-progression can get a bit stale (as of may 2022 they have announced plans to fix this)
-trio leaves people out sometimes
-not the best optimized
-the gunplay and movement can take some getting used to (once it clicks it plays great)

The game's hard but give it a try. Steep learning curve but well worth the time I promise.

TL:DR Fun silly game, doesn't feel the best to play though, lack of strategy/agency at times.

The biggest issue I see right now is the lack of strategic diversity. Being able to command multiple sqauds of troops, a larger variety of troops, having defenders be a separate squad, and or being able to co-op (would take some rebalancing for sure) would I feel make the game quite a bit more enjoyable. At times it's hard to feel that you as the leader have real combat impact and your ranged attack is nigh impossible to aim the way the camera works. This all leads to your best decision being to hope the Ai makes a mistake, rather than being able to win the day on your own merit. Also please add the ability to speed up time since you have to often wait for gold during downtimes.

Despite that stuff, it has a lot of potential. The gameplay itself is moderately entertaining and while agency is scarce at times the unique take on.. I guess an RTS? does have its satisfying moments and could turn out to be something really good.
