I've been playing SF since the release of super IV and it's been a long time since I've been genuinely impressed with Capcom, but they've done a lot of things right with the launch of 6.

Started a session as warring barbarian koi fish, looking to capture mostly water area and play by oceans. Six hours later during the same play session my fish people have evolved into and adapted the same war style of the Viet Cong with the addition of hot druid women and what's practically Treebeard on tren running around on the frontlines. Did I mention we played for six hours straight?

Never have I ever enjoyed mashing those keys as much as I have with djmax.

As much as I love this game, I don't think I can see myself recommending it to others with how hard of a time I'm having finishing it myself.
The game starts off strong but quickly turns tedious and just downright annoying in the later half of the game. I know this is supposed to be like the games of old, and maybe some people enjoy the backtracking, enemy dodging, and tiny inventory management, but for me it's just a little too much to be completely enjoyable. I think I would have an easier time finishing if the story was also told a little clearer, and I understood a little more about what was actually happening, but that's just personal preference.
Overall I would give this a middle rating if possible. I can see and totally understand people being crazy into this game. However, I realistically think that to a majority of people it would be more frustrating than enjoyable.

Despite the crashing and stuttering, I do enjoy the game. I think its a wonderful start for people who have always wanted to get into the souls games but never had the chance to. Difficulty is perfect, not too easy, and not overtuned, but still definitely a fromsoft game. Have been enjoying it greatly and im sure that support will come where needed for us pc boys.
