Who is this game made for?

For long time fans, Bioware choose to ignore all choices from previous games with exception for 3 from Inquisition. I was actually kinda ok with this as I expect them to not ever bring up any references whatsoever except for the 3 choices. However, characters from previous games show up or are mentioned even though they can be dead (or never recruited in Inquisition, so how are they part of it?). The lore ended up being disrespected, sometimes its twisted, but there are times its outright violated.

As for new players, the writing is so subpar and basic. It can be enjoyable to new players, but they haven't done any favours in turning new players into fans of the game or Bioware. The whole story can be described as sanitised, and there are almost no tension between characters; even the player character is incapable of being remotely belligerent. My point is the writing is nothing to write home about, and I really doubt new players will enjoy this so much to spread worth of mouth about this game, nor will they look forward to another DA or Bioware game

You know I'm glad that it's way less buggy, and I really mean a lot less buggy than Kingmaker. But it doesn't really matter in the end, because Act 5 is full of bugs (as it wasn't part of the beta testing). So finishing the game is possible, but it ruins a lot of the experience when quests/storylines bug out and not resolve properly

Seems to be a trend with Paradox nowadays where the devs just don't know what they're doing; they fix the late game lag from pops by just making pops almost stop growing late-game with an arbitrary modifier. There's pretty much zero point in colonizing late-game, or building late-game habitats like ring-worlds (...and habitats). With their recent news update, it seems they're doubling down and sticking with this lazy fix as well.

Like what's the point of a good chunk of your game is your fix is just gonna destroy it anyway?

I stood by other controversial updates like their first pop and economy overhaul in 2.0 because it did seem good, but if this is the path they're going to take then forget it. How can they call Stellaris a 4x game when they can't even handle writing a decent pop system?

Pretty good, short casual game. The time travelling mechanic is pretty cool. Has voice acting too, and the acting is actually not bad; definitely worth the price

One of the best games I've ever played in recent times, if not one of my all time favourites. For all it's ridiculous mini-games and side stories, a newcomer to the series could've never guessed there's a gripping crime drama as its main story, I certainly didn't. Without spoilers, but by the time I was playing the end of the first chapter, I thought that is only the beginning of an epic, over the top journey. Every boss fights and missions are more hyped than the last, each time it still managed to give me goosebumps and adrenaline.

I still even listen to the OST, months after completing, so its 10/10 from me.

The game's writing is on point as the first game, however they really mess up the pacing with the game. There should be more speed to move around, it's way too slow.

I think the global achievement stats for the game is enough indication; 0% of players have gotten the achievement for completing the game.

That's because it is actually impossible to complete the game; at least one bug is preventing completion of one of the chapters. They released a patch yesterday that fixed a game breaking bug that prevented me from completing one chapter, just to run into another bug, one hour later, that unable me to even start the next chapter.

I'd normally understand if a game made by a small developer have some bugs during release, but there are so many bugs in this game, I don't expect them to fix all of these any time soon.

It seems the dev team for EU4 do not understand the difference between improving a game and fixing something that wasn't broken. With the new patch, they claim that changes such as changing religion and culture restricted to states is for balance; they completely miss the fact that the game is suppose to be a historical game.

I may be bias from my perceptions of the dev team, but with how they've been hosting LAN matches, like the grandest LAN party, they seem to have multiplayer balancing in mind (e.g. reducing blobbing). I cannot stress hard enough that these kind of changes are unnecessary, simply because apart from the games they host, the amount of people playing multiplayer is minimal. Anything short of LAN connections are subpar, and the game will just end up causing out of sync errors on the slowest speeds.

My main issues lies more within the free update that accompanied this DLC, such as changing how religion works to the point where it is absolutely useless to even select religious ideas, or god forbid, expand a little and suffer from game breaking corruption.
