This game gave me a PhD in physics. Also, goating is better than racing.

I've never been a fan of racing games in my earlier life, and NfS: Shift is probably the only game that I instantly liked when I first played it.

The only true way to "fully play" this game is to put all of the difficulty sliders on the simulation dificulty. Only then, you'll find out how rewarding racing a car can be. Especially since it is really difficult to keep it stable at high speeds and in tight turns.

The graphics in this game are clean and sharp. Textures could be better, though car detail is ample and greatly refined. Interior cockpit view is also done admirably. The sound feels too fake at times. Especially when you have games like DiRT 2 and 3, that use a sound system that is near indistinguishable from the real thing.

A good game, excellent for drinking games and arcade race players. Drive one round, whenever you miss a turn and spin out, you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chug.

This game's universe and story, while being decently written and developed, never managed to get my attention. I don't know why, I'm normally a sucker for hard sci-fi or stealth-oriented shooters but Deus Ex: HR didn't live up to any of my expectations for either criterium at all.

The story and universe start out well-established. The voice acting is okay, though I have my doubts about Toufexis, who voices Jensen. Unlimited ammo introduction sequence with fitting drama makes for a great ride to launch the story, though you'll already notice the hugely flawed gunplay in the game, which actually contradicts having guns in the game. You'll get the most rewarding experience if you play full-out stealth, but the game could have shifted some of its focus to melee combat or refined stealth mechanics. Instead, you get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of wannabe game mechanics that fall short on many levels while trying to appease the many.

XCOM: EU and its expansion EW are the only games that make me create new games over and over again, since losing a one squad member that used to carry your game to the end dying means 'game over'.

UPDATE: I just completed another playthrough of XCOM with Enemy Within enabled. While some of the late game gear makes it incredibly easy for you to win, I had been playing on Classic/IM for this round. I have seldom had a greater ride playing a strategy video game.

Erhmm. This game has a Hungarian voice over. HUN-GAR-IAN. It's most peculiar, but the gameplay and the art style are awesome. And you should definitely try out this foreign gem.
