Incredible title from The souls team. One of the best open world experiences I've had in years. A lot of games feel like Farcry 3 in their formulaic design, go to tower reveal icons on map do the stuff on the map. Over and Over. This game just throws you in and you figure it out as go. I still love other open world games like Horizon and stuff, but I don't think devs realize how much knowing what everything around you is before you even go there hurts the immersion of exploring an unknown world if that makes sense. The other factor is there is so much hidden meaningful stuff to find in the game.

Incredible lore and world building, and great characters. With that said, From soft is weak on the storytelling in the foreground portion of the game despite the fantastic background(kinda the case with most of their titles for some reason), bit of wasted potential there. Side quest tracking is pretty rough in this game much like other souls games but worse given how big the world actually is, however the most recent patch did address this by making it possible to see npcs you've encountered and where they move around so that helps quite a bit over how it was at launch. A in-game short journal might be nice kinda a'la old rpg games like baldur's gate or morrowind, but that's more likely to happen in a later title, maybe. That might be copium.

Game's very hard as you would expect of a souls team game and you have to spend quite a bit of time getting better at combat to thrive in this title so if that's a turn off or you're just looking for a casual chill experience this may not be the title for you as this is not a hack and slash your way through it game however you can leave areas that are too difficult for easier ones and come back when you're stronger which is a new concept to the souls formulae and I like it.

The performance end can be shaky depending on your setup and other variables as this game uses the DX12 engine it's mostly up to the devs to make sure the game is optimized well enough and honestly it kinda isn't at least not without help for me personally. I had to do tweaking to solve my stuttering issues.

9/10 - Game of the Year material. I want more open world titles like this.

Overall Polished and great gameplay. Narrative is compelling and makes you care about the main protagonist and her goals. The combat is fluid and fun if a bit challenging sometimes. They put a lot of effort into the graphics of this game. It has some of the most natural looking particle effects I've seen in a game. They continue their ability to make comparably matching models to their actors real life appearance. As far as setting goes this will probably be the closest we ever get to a AAA scp game.

The only real cons is the game does occasionally hang and crash, but this only really happened to me once in my entire play though. Occasionally had a couple enemies spawn in a weird place or two, but not really the biggest of deals.

I definately recommend this title if your a fan of TPS with powers and a Good narrative experience.

Friend gifted this game to me and I've already played 18 hours of the game since he's done that. It's a tough as nails rogue-like, but gameplay is so very addicting and I find myself coming back for "another run". I think some of the weaker survivors could use some balanace changes, but that's a small gripe that they still have time to fix. If you'd like a third person shooter type game with rogue-like elements this is probably your best choice in my opinion.

A monster hunter game that will define the future of the monster hunter franchise by dropping some of the clunkier gameplay of the past and embracing fluid combat with great animations. A Storyline which is a first for the franchise. Thrilling combat and in general a great sense of wonder for world make this one of the best installments of the series without question.

Amazingly good platformer with a solid story, however the bar to clear all of the story parts is a quite high. There is assist mode if you're okay with that, though. I however did not want to do that and so I had really struggle bus my way through the end as I'm not the most amazing platformer player. Great game, just be prepared for some tough sections.
