Roguelite Poker might sound strange but it works very well.

Gameplay is alright, but the grind is some of the worst I have ever seen in a game. You have to constantly prestige/relevel characters and weapons to give them more module/mod options. So be prepared to sink in 400 levels on one weapon/character.
On top of that you have the grind for materials and research parts with incredibly low chances, 5% and less, of getting said materials. So you will spend hours replaying the same repetitive mission/area/objective to get the material you want or a loot box material that needs to be opened with another mission, which includes even worse drop chances inside it.

extremely fun with friends

Great game, atmosphere on board the space station is the perfect blend of spooky and scifi.

Gaijin is Introducing more and more paywalls with every major update. They are trying force you into spending money to even slightly progress anymore. And on top they also keep "rebalancing" aka nerfing previous vehicles to increase the grind or make you lose money with every match.
Gaijin also keeps ignoring any player feedback and is now gaslighting the community. Bugs don't get fixed, the game becomes less fun with every update, the balance is completely in the gutter.
The higher you go in battle rating the more awful the game becomes. Premium vehicles are basically needed there to be even on an equal footing to other players.

Here's just a slight overview of the ways they try get your money:
- premium subscription to get some semblance of progress (progress which gets slower with every major update)
- premium vehicles which are about 60 Euros a piece, which about net you double the progress of a non premium vehicle
- pay to skip progression (new vehicle research, crew experience)
- pay to use vehicles more than once per battle
- pay to increase research and credit modifiers per vehicle aka talismans
- battle passes tied to grindy challenges and daily logins or you pay to skip tiers
- pay to skip grind for events (alternatively you can play 8 hours per day for a week straight)
- P2W cosmetics (leafs and bushes)
- constant fomo with vehicles and cosmetics being added to the store for a few days and then being removed again

Pretty good start so far. If you played the demo before, it's basically more like that. The current early access build is about 3 hours long, which is also the biggest downside so far.

One of the best series ever made, now in one simple package. Absolutely worth it.

it's ace combat in everything but the name

Reviving the classic ace combat formular with some modern additions to top it off. The story might be a bit flat but the gameplay is one of the best in the series.

Really good game and even better with friends.
