Very fun and very rewarding even for people with no experience in Dark Souls types.

For such a simple looking game this has so many secrets and fun times. 5/7 made my pp hard.

So much fun. Plays just like the Arcade when I was a kid. 5/7 with rice.

FIrst off let me say that if you have 5 screens, dual flight sticks and a hydraulic chair to simulate cockpit movement, then this game is not for you. If you do however have a usb controller, a set of headphones and are looking for some arcade fun then this IS for you.

You'll notice some reviews bag the game for not being true to the franchise or that the voice acting is terrible (both true) but at the end of the day it's an airforce combat game where you fly different vehicles, all of which provide great variety.

The game can also be quite challenging at times, having multiple hostiles locked onto you and dodging half a dozen missles at a time will keep your thumbs dancing. There's also some nice cinematics when dog fighting through city buildings, you get the sense of danger as the buildings loom large over you.

Some of the negatives include flat textures, rubber banding by the AI and surprisingly a lack of ammunition in some missions, including the Apache levels, as well as the aforementioned franchise deviation and voice acting.

But if you can look past these rather small flaws you'll enjoy a fun game with great replay value (and co-op missions).

Maybe wait for sales before buying though.

More fun than a big bag of ♥♥♥♥♥ on a hot day.
