Should be sold as prescription-only, myocardial infarction-threatening erectile dysfunction medication.

Early Access Review
"Games like Gran Turismo, Forza Horizon, Project CARS, they are fantasy games. You are able to masturbate to cars and car culture and shiny paint and lifestyle that you're never going to have. This car is not like those games, this game is about realism. The only thing you masturbate to is a girl picture, because that's all you get. You don't masturbate to this car, because that's sick. This is a car game with realism."

It's got everything - badass action, cool exploration, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome music, amazing graphics, design and sound and for nerds like me there's even some surprisingly decent world building in the codex that's fully optional. It's a never-ending bloody slaughter and I love it. It's different from the classic Doom games, but it's a worthy successor, at least the singleplayer.

Multiplayer is a bit lacking, but it's not as bad as it might seem, though it does suffer from some modern FPS clichés the singleplayer campaign doesn't.
Snapmap is fun for a little bit, but it's not good enough for really good maps - its graphical scripting system is solid and easy to grasp, but the editor itself has severe limitations concerning monster count and map sizes. For a feature that allows you to make maps in-game with fast testing even on consoles, it's pretty good, just not nearly as versatile as classic Doom modding has become over the years.

Even if the multiplayer and Snapmap threw you off, you should definitely play this game just for the singleplayer. It's a meaty, entertaining campaign full of demons to shoot, blast to pieces, disintegrate, tear apart, impale, disembowel and eviscerate in some of the most gorgeous environments I've seen recently with the most blood and testosterone-pumping soundtrack in years to keep you going.

This game will kick you into a bloody pulp. But you just need to do it again. And again. Being tortured by a video game has never been so much fun.

I bought this port a few years ago and had no problems with it. Apparently my PC is super special or something. I played this on AMD Athlon X2 and nVidia GeForce 9200, so you can't really get lower than that, today.
