Update 14: Only played Career for my playtime this update, last time I played I crashed ~50% of the time when crossing the finish line in multiplayer(I don't know if this has been fixed yet). The only crash I had this time around is when closing the game it never closes properly instead freezing with a crash report. Most of the issues with AI have been fixed, albeit I still had some AI ramming/pitting(skill issue). Nascar stock cars are exactly what I've wanted for awhile now and with the AI fixes made the playlist pretty fun. Switching my review to recommend since I enjoyed racing AI for the first time.

Still not as good as GT7 but it's getting closer.
Release Review: Compared to GT7 this is a 3/10.

I have an unhealthy obsession with Spider-Man so this review is biased as can be.

The story is a great starting point for Miles who outside the Spider-Verse movies hasn't had many adaptations of his comics. Just hope they leave Ganke behind in the future. Tinkerer needed more screen-time/missions because I didn't care about the main antagonist until the end.

Open-World chores would irritate some people but there's only a small number of them to. There's more emphasis on New Game+ like locking skills and suits behind it unlike the last game which only had Ultimate difficulty locked. Sadly I don't see many people replaying the game which is weird because it's fairly short. Once you finish the game why would you replay just to unlock 3 new skills only to repeat content with them.

Spider-Man Remastered has more content but this has some fun new additions to combat and swinging animations that make it worth picking up if you're a Spider-Man fan.

Spider-Man 2 better not take 4 years. I hate the Steam Awards urging me to write a review for a badge.

SBMM in theory should lead to more fair and even matches but in practice it just turns every lobby into a ranked game where everyone is using the same 3 weapons while holding the same 3 angles. Crossplay currently can't be turned off so if you are a average COD PC player, good luck playing against auto-aim. No matter how much tweaking they do to their MMR system its never gonna work balancing a algorithm vs muscle memory.

November 30th update is just horrible.

GEAR REWORK:
The raid update reworks the way gear levels and its somehow worse, removing all point to resources in the game. Shipments were added as a way to get free cosmetic items but its random so most the time your spending credits on nameplates and more fragments for what you already have. Since they reworked fragments they only serve as a way to level major artifacts.

THE RAID:
It's a 4-player required mission that is impossible to play just because you're forced to matchmake for other teammates unless you have friends who enjoy wasting their time. Good luck beating the raid when the boss encounters have high health pools and high damage output and your matchmade teammates haven't put the 100s of hours required to just passed the first mini-boss. Its balanced in a way that if you haven't put in the time for the grind you gotta go grind more real fun stuff when you're supposed to be a superhero. All of this just to give Crystal Dynamics more time and to give the weirdos that put more time into the game than me something to do.

SPIDER-MAN:
As a huge Spider-Man fan I'm super disappointed that we don't get him and makes the Xbox/PC versions the lesser of the 3 platforms. It also seems unfair to Playstation that they just get the character and nothing else. Just another poorly-handled situation for the game after countless problems they created.

I hope the Sony money keeps the servers running a little longer, I want this game to be something worth playing but right now I'd rather watch paint dry.
