Early Access Review
This "game" is not worth your time, money or effort.
It is Ark, with new names and some new textures. Otherwise it is just Ark. They even had menus they forgot to remove that you could use to play Ark DLC with (now removed after too many people had already found it, still proves how lazy they are in making an effort).
Spend your money on a game that is made by developers that actually put in effort in their games instead of taking ALL assets of an older game, renaming them and slapping on a new pricetag.

To start off I was sad when I read that there were going to be no multiplayer. I did love that from Anno 2070. But I could forgive that somewhat with the new sectors play. They promised some interesting features, so I decided to give it a go.

The months went by and big patches came out every so often. Each one more or less forcing you to start over cause the economics changed too much for your old saves to handle. Didn't really mind that part either. Could always try to come up with some new design.

The AI cheating the stock market was rather annoying though. The stock market was reporting 1 AI company to have ~500k in capital while they were bidding and winning new shares for about 2mill.
But that gave great challenge, use all my funds to overbid them and then use all my points to force close any bids I couldn't overbid.

What I can't forgive is the shady dealing they are doing right now with the dlc frontiers.
When I purchased the game I bought the gold edition as it said it would be the most complete game experience where it included 2 paid dlcs(with its season pass).

As I am writing this there has been no incitement for current players (with season pass) to buy the frontiers dlc. Which is a rather big thorn in the eye, especially if you bought the gold edition with its wording about most complete edition. Even more so when you read the beginning of the description of the frontiers dlc, "The final DLC".

The game as it is before this drama around frontiers, the game could be considered OK. Nothing amazing, nothing that would keep me playing for days (like Anno 2070 did). Now with this bad practice in sales and PR, I do not recommend it to anyone.

This is one very addictive game!
I fully recommend it!

To sum up what you do in this game is you fend of creepers, which advance across the map as a fluid. Some maps also feature spores and other special units to mix up the challenge.
Your goal varies, sometimes it is to wipe out the nodes that spawn the creeper. Sometimes you just need to unlock a shield bubble(which usually is at the far end of where you can land).

To help you out with this you got different types of turrets and some units you can build up.
In order to win you can usually choose to go either turtle mode or just rush. Some maps force you to play extra aggressively, otherwise you will be overrun if you try to turtle.
Most importantly is to keep that production going so you can support whatevery style you choose.
