I dont usually review games before finishing them or sinking enough time into them to get an opinion, but I also dont usually have games that immerse you and fully establish world building and emotional connection to characters within the first 30 minutes of the game.

The prologue alone shows what it is like when developers pour their heart and soul into a game, for the experience alone and not monetization. Amazing job team, cant wait to 100% this one.

The only depth this game has is within the synthesis system. It was interesting figuring out how to create better monsters and transferring skills but ultimately you will just be looking this up as there isn't incentive to experiment. The battle system could be more but it quickly turns into an auto-battler and grinding / hunting metals is a time sink. I wont even really touch on the story because it's just barely there - which would be fine if the remainder of the game play was more engaging.

In the end, it couldve been a better game all around but I did find myself beating it and getting 100%.

This game is a problem honestly.

One of the best and well balanced auto-battlers. Unfortunately the player base is somewhat small, so let the salty run backs ensue. I mean, unless the person reading this comment hurries up and pulls the trigger.

Okay, so what if I needed a 4090 to play this one. It still became my favorite story in the series~
