Unforgiving dungeon crawler, but it's actually really fun, and it has online coop.

It's basically a movie with bits of interaction here and there.. it's much better than the Borderlands movie for sure.. it has some fun moments and memorable characters (Stapleface being my favorite)..

I was able to grab this very cheaply as it was one of few items in the Pandora's box collection that I didn't have, and for that price I did actually enjoy it for what it is.. definitely wouldn't recommend paying full price tho.

I've never really played many souls-like games before as I'm not a fan of that genre, but I am a huge fan of post-apocalyptic mega-corporation industrial-hell sci-fi types of games, so when I saw The Surge 1 & 2 pack on sale, I had to give it a try. The first Surge tickled all the right neurons in my brain, so naturally I had to give The Surge 2 a chance too, despite the theme being quite different from the first one.

I am personally not as much impressed with The Surge 2 as I was with the first one, but on the other hand it does improve certain things.

My biggest praise for the first one was the incredible level design, which unfortunately does not hold up in this one. While the first game was mostly about staying in one level for a very long time before moving on to the next one (with the added freedom of backtracking), this one is more like an open world where you constantly have to move between different locations. That means you are going to see loading screens way more frequently. There are also certain locations that you enter (loading screen) only to find out that you can't really make any progress there at all because you lack a certain tool or ability and have no choice but to go back (another loading screen). The level design is overall much more frustrating and confusing.

Now the sequel does improve many gameplay aspects. You can now change all implants at any point and the injectables got reworked in a way that makes more sense. The enemies show their level, making it clear what tier items they are going to drop. The combat got fleshed out a bit and drones can do more stuff than before. I'm definitely going to miss these improvements when I return to the first game to finish all the achievements.

To me this is like 8/10, not as good as I'd hope for, but still worth playing.

Well, turns out the game is surprisingly very good.

The gameplay loop is strangely addictive, the combat is very satisfying, and the level design... oh my lord, the level design is unlike anything I've seen in any other game. The game features a system of shortcuts that basically serve as a progression system within a single level. I have never experienced such rollercoaster of getting completely lost, only to suddenly emerge at a familiar location from a door or elevator that was previously inaccessible. At one point I even took an elevator up and failed to immediately recognize that I was suddenly at a place that I walked though a hundred of times. It's not that every place looks the same, absolutely not, that's just how much the game messed up with my brain, making me feel like I was actually hundreds of meters away while I was in fact just around the corner from the medbay. It is a very strange and unique feeling.

10/10 from me. One of the best single player games I've tried in the last decade, definitely worth trying.

ugh... still waiting for the Global Agenda 2 we were promised like a decade ago, and now Global Agenda doesn't even work anymore... this one doesn't scratch the itch, same as Paladins didn't...

It's a really good game, buy it.

EDIT: if you go for 100%, you're gonna suffer. Just keep that in mind.

A solo or up to 4-players coop class-based shooter with endless replayability, many mission types, lots of weapons and build possibilities, procedurally generated and fully destructible environments and great enemy variety. The game is super fun.

I liked this game a lot back then when I started playing during season 2.

But then season 3 began and I stopped playing, because I just couldn't stand the new rockpox and the litophage thing. Actually unfunny new mechanics that were kinda forced upon the player. After that, season 4 began and it was still atrocious as the devs kinda doubled down on the thing. I was not enjoying the game anymore, so... I stopped playing. But I just... couldn't leave a negative review.

At some point the devs implemented an option to disable the season content, however... it only became available after completing the season pass, which takes dozens of hours to complete. It fixed nothing.

But now, almost two years after I stopped playing, season 5 has been released and the game is an absolute banger again. The annoying content from season 3 & 4 is pretty much gone and the new stuff is great.

The best thing? I now know I can safely leave a positive review. The game will probably not be ruined by future seasons anymore, because the devs actually implemented a season selector into the game, including the option to play an unseasoned version, and it is available without any condition! And it might just be the best addition into the game, because the season 2 especially had some really cool in-game events that wouldn't be available otherwise and new players would miss out on them completely.

Thank you Ghost Ship Games, absolute gem this is, once more.

I highly doubt anyone would come read reviews to decide whether the DLC is worth the low price or not.

If you love BallisticNG, you have already bought this and you have no regrets, because it is a really good polished DLC with awesome tracks and a full blown campaign that will keep you occupied for a while.

While I did play Crystal Caves back in the 90s, I was completely clueless about the existence of Secret Agent well until 2019. And even then, I honestly did not like the game very much.

Knowing how much CC has improved with the remake, I had to give this one a shot anyway. And you know what? I'm really enjoying it! It is obviously once again a remake developed with love and care.

Some bits that could be frustrating or even unfair in the original got tweaked, some graphical elements got improved and of course there's a level editor similar to the one in CCHD, but with some really handy new additions.

And the soundtrack... oh the soundtrack.. believe me, you are not going to be able to stop replaying the "006.5" track in your brain for hours!

Just buy the game!
