[ENGLISH]

This game is really not as good than it's first iteration... Really not..
BUT!!!
I'll highly recommend to try out this game-changing mod :

We The People

Balance / fixes / overhaul / way more faithful to original game
Latest update is from 2023

It makes Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Colonization go from "meh" to "one more turn!!"

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Someone riding their jetski off Niagara Falls. A convicted felon being reelected for presidency. I've seen people fight with each other for toilet paper.
All those moments will be lost in time...
Like tears in rain.

Cool MMORPG !

Wish i didnt refund at level 3 when it released.
Was used to TAB targetting   la Wow or SWTOR... Ackshually New World system where we need to aim for enemies (and companions if healer) feels WAY better, way more immersive and action-like

I am not max level yet, so cant talk about endgame gameplay, but the leveling experience is pretty noice.
Intriguing lore, a kind of "Fantasy Conquest of the New World" universe.
Crafting is great, many professions and you can level up all of them on one char.
Same about character progression, there's no classes but weapon skills that you gain proficiency in and make different builds from 2 talents trees for each weap. Again, you can level up every weapon on the same char.
Graphics are really pretty with nice animations, nicely crafted landscapes and towns. Gorgeous sunsets...

Until now, the only downside i'd see (that actually might be a plus in case you're a "micro"transactions addict) is that shop skins are outrageously fugly. Like almost all of them.
How can you f.uck up this, since it's most of similar games main source of income ? Bad move, Jeff.

Overall with nearly 70 played hours and considering there's no subscription needed, the price I paid for New World already was worth. And im not done playing it, by far.

At first, seeing graphics and gameplay, I was "Meh.."
In the end, puzzled by the insane amount of positive reviews, and to support a dev selling what seemed like a banger, that cheap, I bought it
That definetly wasn't my worst decision of the week.

Extremely fun "arcade" game that spawned a genre, nothing less
Tons of stuff to unlock, each run adds more options for next one
Special mention to OST that is really dope, different tempos to unlock for each track!

Again, Massive props to Poncle for selling Vampire Survivors and its DLCs for more than fair prices, pushing competitors to keep the same price range

> release a cool f2p survival-MMO, using a bunch of good ideas from many successfull games, in a very unique universe
> accidently credit twice premium currency to some players that were hooked enough to spend actual real money, when enabling cross-server shared shop cosmetics
> instead of doing rollbacks or biting the bullet -in the end, nothing was lost except, eventually, "expected sales"- force players that spent this fictive currency (because they didnt pay attention or just thought it was part of the cross-server cosmetics feature, or even a compensation reward like many previous ones) to pay for your own mistake, putting their balance in negative. "Yep, you're in debt with our free to play game now."
> ban users that contest their negative balance
> stay silent about the incident (understandable since it was the moment of release of the first dodgy lootbox) and also ban users that complain on discord
> weeks later, awkwardly announce that some users were banned for "exploiting a bug"

FTL But Smexy

Story is great, design is neat, pixel art is absolutely GORGEOUS. It reminds me a lot of "Captain Blood" (a mesmerizing game from the 80s that i was -trying- to play on my Atari as a kiddo). Ambiance and soundtrack also give the same vibe.
I really enjoy the mechanic that different runs are kind of "linked" scenaristically.
