Got through to the WIP level (museum at the moment) in around 20 minutes, the blink ability makes me feel like Neo.
The description does not lie, its a fast paced, brutal top-down, with levels increasing in difficulty until I started to perspire.

There are also challenges, and although not explored, steam workshop capabilities. Its a buck fiddy NZD, just get it.

Rust is out of Beta and is a proper game. Took long enough >:(
The game is great, performance issues have been mostly ironed out and potato PCs can play it at Potato settings.
Rust is an open world ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that has a horrid yet amazing community. People will KOS (Kill On Sight) nakeds that spawn on the beach and everyone else for that matter. Yet friends can be made easily and alliances can be formed.

The game is not meant to be easy, although basic tutorials have been added into the game.
Playing on a large server from the get go is not a good idea, Rustralasia has huge clans that will eat your ass like no tomorrow as soon as you turn off your PC. Starting on a medium pop server can be a great way to learn how to play.

Rust takes time, and rage is very much around the corner. If you have a life away from your computer you may as well not even try. But if you're alone and have no one its perfect.

5/7 Is good.

A great little game that is NOT that much of a pay to win, yes you can buy the upgrades instantly but we all know lord Gabin took our money at the steam sales
