Can you even tell the difference between a "Linux cheater" and the aim assist in this game?

It's fun, but if you're expecting something more Quake-like, you might (for now) be disappointed. There's only the 4v4 Wipeout mode from Diabotical, and a warmup mode at the time of writing, although more modes are planned.
There's also no strafe jumping, and all of the movement tech seems to be pretty simple single button press stuff, like a dash or a grapple.
As other reviewers mention, the card system adds some RNG to the game, which will probably upset the purists, but I get the feeling this game wasn't made for the purists.

I'm definitely curious to see what direction they take this game in either way.

This game is for masochists but it's great.
