A gaming experience this great should have never been involved with console and timed exclusivity.

This game is the greatest proof that there exists some sort of extra-planar entity that seeks to enrich our lives through joyous achievement and never-ending torment.

This game ruins every other indie game. An expansive, hand-drawn and animated metroidvania that takes 20-25 hours to beat for the first time. Dozens of bosses, tons of post-game content, hidden secrets and collectibles. For $15 nothing beats this.

And then they released multiple expansions. FREE EXPANSIONS. There's no way to compete, this is probably one of the best metroidvanias ever made and it dwarfs nearly every game in terms of price for gameplay, even eclipsing most AAA games with its scope and polish.

3 years on, AAA games don't even compete. Hope for the future of gaming is resting on games like this to continue succeeding.
