I'm a huge fan of the original game, first time played it back in 2009 and kept coming back to it years later to experience it over and over again. So I was really excited about the "remake", but seeing so many negative reviews left me confused. People keep on complaining that this game is nothing like the original, which is true to some extent, but it doesn't make it a bad game. I think it conveys the charm of the old school Yume Nikki into the modern world very well. In fact, I thought this game was wonderful, I enjoyed every second of it. It's very unique and fun to play, maybe even more fun than its predecessor if I dare say so myself. Despite the indisputable charm of the first game, it was more about just aimlessly walking around, and if you were new to the game you had no idea what to do with no help whatsoever, and it understandably put a lot of people off and they never bothered with it, which is a shame. But the remake introduces the amazing and bizarre world of Yume Nikki to a lot of new players who previously didn't know about it. I think it's great. The only downside is that it felt very short, I expected to see more of my favourite dreams from the og game. I just really wish there was more of it!

Still to this day I can't find nothing like it, best game out of the genre

The game felt short and a bit disappointing, but it was a nice experience nonetheless. Nothing like the first game though, nothing at all.

Didn't think it was possible to ruin this good of a game, but I was wrong. Episode 5 was... lunacy. Rushed, stupid, hard to take seriously and overall very disappointing. Felt like it was written by a child. Waste of potential
