The Completionist's Log - All 100% Achievement Games
This list has changed a bit due to updates adding more achievements, old games I would have 100% long ago but just didn't register on steam, etc. From this point forward, I'll track when I 100% a game roughly in order. The most recent achievements in the respective games will serve as date markers for completion. At the end of the day, this is purely for a bit of fun as a sort of diary, so it's not really all that serious. Also, every title on this list should have a review to check out, if that is of interest to you. Click here to read them.

Current Tally = 115 Games Completed

The following honorable mentions are games attached to this account which either have no achievements, were previously 100% before new achievements were added, have in-game achievements that just aren't reflected on Steam, and/or have bugged achievements preventing actual 100% status (I'll do what I can with these). The listing order in this case is largely arbitrary.

Honorable Mentions:

:Oogie: SPORE
:bfrecon: Battlefield: Bad Company 2

:spycon: Team Fortress 2 (I've roughly gotten all that I can get on my own/want to achieve)

Caveats Guide:

* Originally played a while back. For whatever reason, didn't get the achievements then. Have since circled back and claimed them. May have technically "earned" them back then, but for whatever reason didn't receive them.
** Played the original mod/version of this and completed it before.
*** Steam gave this game limited profile visibility, meaning that achievements are not weighted. Usually, this is because the game is free.
**** Originally achieved perfect, but had my status reset due to achievements added during an update/dlc/etc.
*^* I achieved 100% previously, but an update or DLC added more achievements. I have since gone back and 100% the game again.

Bonus: The Nostalgia Tour

These are all the Humongous Entertainment, etc games from my childhood that I'm revisiting or playing through for the first time starting from their earliest available game and going down the list roughly in release order. You can find them listed here.

I really, really loved the first game and jumped right into this one once I 100% that one, and now that I have completed this game's story and am now just wrapping up on my collectathon to get that nice 100% badge I have to say that STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor is a fantastic sequel. I can spend hours getting lost in this game and not get bored--and I did! I really enjoyed the story. Are there ways I would have liked to have seen it expanded here and there? Sure, but I think what we have here is pretty dang good.

Most importantly, above all else, this game is FUN! When I played the first game I thought to myself "wow, I haven't played a game this fun in ages" and then I play this one and had a pretty similar thought. My only caveat is those dang parkour challenges...some of those were clearly designed to cause maximum frustration. Still, I do have to admit that finally beating those did leave me feeling accomplished, and that was a common thread throughout the whole game. Whether I'm completing a collection, unlocking new moves, defeating enemies, talking to characters, or just looking at how much of the map I've explored, the game always gave a great sense of progress and satisfaction.

As far as combat, story, and characters, these two games are probably the best Star Wars titles out there. Even though I have so much left to do in this game, when I finished the main story I immediately went to go look up the progress on a sequel. I was hooked with the first game, and this game has reeled me in (I'm sure a certain character would appreciate this metaphor).

I don't want to spoil too much, but if you've played the first one and had even an alright time, you really ought to give this one a whirl. There are so many new elements from saber styles, force powers, etc. It really takes the first game and uses it as a solid foundation for an even richer experience.

I highly recommend this game, especially on sale and/or as part of a bundle!

TL;DR: After taking my time and 100%'ing this game, I can safely say that I had fun with every minute I put into it. This is easily one of the best Star Wars games out there, and it is just a great game regardless. I hardly experienced any issues; and, frankly, those few I did kind of added to the charm. This game is visually stunning, the score is fantastic, and I absolutely loved all the characters and attention to detail. As someone who is a fan of Star Wars, but not necessarily THE biggest Star Wars fan, I had a blast and highly recommend this game to anyone with even a cursory interest in the setting, especially if you see this on sale!

This is a spoiler free review...

At the time of this review, I just closed the game after getting the last few achievements I needed to 100% the game, and last night I completed the story. It took me roughly 35.6 hours for me, give or take, and remarkably I can safely say that I had fun throughout that entire span of time, which is not something I can say about most games.

I am a bit of a completionist. I like collecting all the things, find all the little bits of lore, and exploring everything there is to explore in the game. I was able to do pretty much all of that before finishing the main story. Without spoiling anything, this game offers a diverse array of places to explore with elements and pathways which you can revisit after gaining certain abilities. It made every time I returned to an area to collect something I wasn't able to collect before a lot of fun and kept things feeling fresh while allowing me to strategize with the familiar.

I went off on so many side paths and searched every nook and cranny, and I was often rewarded for this. Now, a good chunk of those rewards were cosmetic, which...sick, love to expand the drip; but, the majority of what you can find are bits of lore and stories told with these puzzle pieces that you can fashion into a whole picture. It made every location feel truly engaging, even those seemingly insignificant. Now I'm sure if you wanted to and were sufficiently skilled, you could breeze through this game in half the time it took me, but I think slowing down and really taking it all in is the way to get the most bang for your buck.

That is not to say this game is slow paced, though. Not at all. The combat in this is pretty fluid and fast paced. For some context in my playthrough, I started on controller and switched to standard mouse and keyboard. I prefer the latter, but that's just because that's what I'm used to. With either, the game made you feel powerful when needed and desperately outmatched when the story called for it. You can play on a variety of difficulties, but if you just want to experience the story, more or less, there is an option for that too. You won't be penalized for playing this singleplayer game how you want to play it.

Back to the combat...it really is satisfying. Some of the later abilities really open up the strategies you can employ, but honestly the basic attacks and blocks do a pretty good job of conveying your character's abilities. You can really 'rip and tear' through some parts of this game, but you will also find yourself challenged in a way that is fun to overcome throughout your journey. Certain enemies just keep you on your toes no matter how "high level" you are...and that's awesome!

Speaking of "levels" and progression, the story and characters in this game really landed with me. Again, without spoiling anything, I was charmed by our main cast of characters and found them and our extended cast to all be rich, complex figures even if you aren't always interacting with them. The voice work and facial capture really highlighted the excellent performances everyone gave. There were also plenty of side characters and other little threads weaved throughout the journey that made the whole thing feel alive. It was wonderful to visit and interact with people and places both new and familiar through the lens of this game.

Speaking of, the visuals feel like Star Wars. They really nailed that part of the equation, which is made all the more potent a success with the excellent score. This does not feel like some cheap movie tie-in game the recycles the old film soundtrack with maybe a few edits here and there. No, this feels like a through and through, properly cinematic experience worthy of its place on the shelf alongside the rest of the mainline franchise. I really like Star Wars, but I wouldn't say I am a super fan or anything...but the way this game was able to use the score to tap into such nostalgic beats while introducing its own spin on things really was a triumph for me. All of these elements came together to deliver a really stellar experience for me that I won't soon forget.

With all that said, I'm sure many others will have a different experience, but if you're anything like me then I know you will enjoy this game as I have. I'm many years late to the party on this; and, while I'm sure I would have loved to have experienced this sooner, I'm so glad that my delay will now let me jump right into the sequel...

If you're considering getting this game, I highly recommend it, especially on sale. I picked up the deluxe edition while it was on sale, but it is certainly not required for the experience as it is merely cosmetic. At any rate, I feel the experience was well worth the price of entry.

Thank you for reading...
I hope you also enjoy the game...
AND... may The Force be with you...

*I actually think some (maybe most) skins look better NOT Factory New, so tracking this isn't a high priority or of that much importance to me. Still, it is neat to keep track of as some FN skins can be quite rare.

**The actual pattern/layout of the skin is important to me, whether it is Factory New or Battle-Scarred. For some skins, finding a good pattern is difficult and ends up being more important a find than the wear.

***Originally completed on 11/30/2023 and since expanded with the latest skins; although, the collection is never fully complete as I am always interested in some skin variations.
