Skip Then, Now, Forever Opening

1. Backup original video

Head to your WWE 2K17 movies folder and locate "wwe17_open.bk2", the file path should be:

\steamapps\common\WWE2K17\movies\menu\wwe17_movie\opening

Copy the movie over to a safe backup folder/drive.

2. Download the empty movie file

Use the link below (file courtesy of Curb Stomp City):

Empty Video Download[drive.google.com]

3. Replace the original with the downloaded file

Make sure the name is exactly the same as the original (wwe17_open.bk2).

This will essentially "skip" the opening video as it ends too quickly to even see a single frame. Alternatively, you can also add your own .bk2 video here if you wanted to.

If you need to restore the video, just find your original video and overwrite the empty video file you downloaded.

@Ndee: I searched high and low for a fix for this but unfortunately it's hard-coded in the backend of the game. No amount of editing or patching files will fix it.

@Crunch: seconds add up to a lot if you're testing out mods and whatnot. Anyway, if you don't mind pressing a button to skip the intro, you can skip this guide. :)
