PVP-How to be a Decent Human Being
By Willsterz
Proper manners can change how fun PVP can be. This guide will show you how to be a proper Gentleman for a respectable and fair fight.

These are my views that every player should do based off a few experiences I had playing online. I have hopes this will make the community friendly and fun for everyone.

Emotes
The use of emotes will be your only way of communicating with you opponent as of right now.

-The Bend Salute: A proper gentleman will bow when he/she is ready to begin the fight. Both players should bow to show a mutual sign of respect for the other player and for the fight itself. When both are done bowing, the fight shall commence.

-Thumbs Up: Shows aggreeance between the players. Can be used if the other player landed a sweet finishing combo and you found it awesome. Sometimes you just have to show some good sportmanship and praise your opponent.

-Over Here: Signify to the other player that this is a better spot to fight at. Vital for arenas that players can fall off the map. (More in next section)

- Other emotes: Self explanitory, use them as you please.
Arena Positioning
Let's be real, falling off the map is a lame way to go. And there are some players who use that to their advantage too much and it ruins the fun. This is Absolver, not Sould Calibur 2, so you're here for a good fight and not a ring out.

A gentleman should have the decency to want a good and fair fight.
-Find a good spot: Look at the arena and find where it would be harder for both players to have a ring out. Walk there and start communicating.

-Communicate: Use emotes
-Over Here emote: tell the other player this would be a good and fair spot to fight.
- Thumbs Up: If both players give a thumbs up, then the area is agreed upon.
- Bend Salute: After area is agreed upon, salute and begin the fight.

This part is specifically pointed to that library map with the stairwell in the middle. Nice looking arena but all it takes is two hits to knock someone off.
Conclusion
Having proper manners can significantly make PVP more fun. Be a Gentleman and have respect for the fight and your opponent.

Since the game is relatively new and myself is still pretty new to the game, much more will be added to this guide based on feedback from the community. These are just some common courtesies that will build a friendly community. Non the less, if your opponent is a gentleman and still beats you to a pulp, you just gotta train and get gud.

gravity is part of the arenas, just like ring outs in plenty of IRL unarmed combat arenas.
Other than that I agree good sportsmanship does keep the community more alive so the game doesnt devolve into fighting the same 5 dudes over and over

Hmmm I like to put myself off the edge of the map and watch as my opponents foolishly attack me, wondering how they are now suddenly falling from into the void. Please. If you don't like falling out of the map, learn proper footwork and don't rush someone who actually understands how to use the dodging mechanic.

I beg to differ, Sir. True gentlemen don't bow. We shake hands and smoke pipe.
