Also, there seems to be some debate in the community if weapon upgrades are active in Authentic / A+. The patch notes https://test-steamproxy.haloskins.io/app/312660/discussions/0/133257636775540342 which are sent out by the devs, indicate that weapon upgrades are disabled on Authentic/A+.
"“Authentic Attachments” option will now set suppressed shots to make a noise, limit the zoom level of scopes and binoculars, and disable weapon upgrades.
“Player Toughness” option will disable Character Skills when set to Authentic or Authentic Plus."
The current version of SE4 is 1.5.2, and that's from the patch notes for 1.5.1, and the patch for 1.5.2 only indicates there was a change that only has to do with multiplayer. One would have to believe that the devs reverted this back without mentioning it in their final patch notes. That's unlikely.
If not, I assure you to do more testing with a protocol and do not only take into account damage but also other upgrades (as the enemy health could just be higher in authentic and authentic plus but it doesn't mean that all weapon upgrades are not taken into account). We claim what we claim with proper testing and we are not the only one to have made the same conclusion despite what the game says.
On cadet difficulty its all the same, assuming 100%.
At higher levels e.g the head part gets additional resistance (20%,40% etc.) to make a headshot more difficult.
To complete the illusion the player is hearing a ricoshot sound file.
Not sure if the shooting angle affects the hitbox size.
