Fun
This game is very entertaining, and bigger than its file size suggests (another virtue of the game).

The experience changes every time, and you can change it even more.

Randomly generated maps, with many dynamic NPC types.
- The base game has 16 stages right now, each of which is can change every time without
losing its essence.

Lots to do, many ways to do it.
- Whether you're killing a guy in his apartment or freeing a gorilla from a secret lab, there's
usually an air duct you can poision, hatred you can create, something to hack, people to send
in, sneaky items or a big bomb to use.

Many different interactions and details.
- You can buy, steal, fight , get mugged by, and talk to many of the characters in this game.

Mutators and items to change the gaming experience.
- Such as giving everyone a rocket launcher or setting a level timer.

There are lots of items.
- drugs
- guns
- meelee
- armor
- explosives
- many more miscellaneous items, like a trap that paralyzes people or a remote that blow up
any slaves of yours.

There are many characters.
- Around 25 classes, each with it's own playstyle.
- Characters that you can create.
- play alone / w friends
Replayability
People always want to know: "How long before I get bored?" With Streets of Rogue, the answer is probably at least a 2-digit long amount of hours.

Even if you're somebody who can get bored of an expansive game like this in ten hours, you're paying $15 for ten hours of fun in a place where you can control your experience to the smallest detail, an amazing deal in the real world.

For everyone else, the likely answer is that you'll play the game for forty hours before beginning to get slightly bored and discover mutators, hunting for achievements, and changing your playstyle for a new perspective and hours more of fun. See You have died of Dysentery's guide about this.

You won't get bored of this game very soon.

If you look at the comments section, you'll see a ton of people bragging about how many hours they have in game. I'm pretty sure we have enough of these comments. The point is that the game doesn't get old fast :P

Overall, it takes a long time to see and do everything, and since the game is multiplayer, you get yet another new experience with every lobby you join.
Versatility
While this game may appeal only to a certain group of people on steam, Streets of Rogue covers a pretty good scope of game types and tastes.

You can play the game several ways:

- A tactical shooter (Just shoot from behind cover and advance everywhere like an army guy or whatever, you know?)
- Bullet Hell Rogue-Like
- (Weird) Society Simulator (There's a lot to observe in this game, so observe it all)
- Stealth Game

The game's graphics might not appeal to everyone, but the shadows, lights, animation, and detailed pixel art are worth a shot. I'm generally a First-Person only player, but SoR has been an exception for me.
Community
Many developers promise a lot, and fade away after a few months. The developer of this game updates every two weeks, and has done so for many months, steadily adding more and more to the game. There's only one dev, but updates are generally great.

This game also has a (mostly) responsive and friendly community. That is to say, we all share ideas, and discuss the game's future.

With the $15 you spend on this game, you also buy a developer's pass -- all member are invited to report bugs and suggest new features. Dislike something? Dislike the lack of something? If you're idea is good enough, you'll feel proud when you see the character you suggested running around the map.

^That is, if you played during Early Access. The ATM machine in game was based on an idea of mine (I'm pretty sure).
Easy on Many Computers
Not everyone has a gaming PC, or needs one, but still enjoys gaming. Computers come in all shapes and sizes, and you may wonder if you can run the game.

After several optimization updates, far more people can run the game, and chances are that you can too, even if you need to turn your graphics to the lowest setting.

If you're doubtful, you can always buy the game and refund it if you don't like the performance.
