Choose the perks Total Mess and Lucky Bastard.

The first weapon you should make is a mop (dex 5)
At level 2 take dex to 9. If you only have a speed weapon go spd 9 first, then dex.
At level 3 take dex to 13. You should be able to upgrade to a hatchet (dex 7)
At level 4 take dex to 16, accuracy to 6
At level 5 take spd to 9. You should be able to upgrade to a staff (dex 6 spd 9)
At level 6 take accuracy to 7, str to 8
At level 7 take str to 12. You should be able to upgrade to a glaive (dex 16 str 12 spd 9).
Any future levels gain accuracy.

Always fix the generators. Carrying wire helps a lot.

Because of total mess, don't waste moves and only assemble items if you are going to immediately use them. Avoid backtracking to use the elevator. Try to use up your most powerful medikits and food first so that you're more likely to lose a low quality item every 10 turns.

Kill almost every enemy except the women and the giants, which you should try to avoid if possible. Back out of the room, or use the elevator to skip them.

Save Lucky Bastard to kill unavoidable giants. You can also use Lucky Bastard once at the start, and at around floor 70.

If you have the glaive and plenty of supplies then for bonus points you can go ahead and kill women and giants also. Run and heal if a woman takes you below 30hp or a giant takes you below 40hp. But this doesn't help your chances of winning.
