General tips
  • Try to hit every elite as relics are op, you wanna fight more than get ? marks Early as you need cards,? Marks are better later as they have a higher chance of getting a relic.

  • Damage for damage is not worth it as healing is difficult to come by (except on the last boss of the floor as you heal to max after)

  • Chests are guaranteed relics

  • Elites are more challenging in act 1 as you usually don't have a build working, but your not gonna lose mich progress

Iron Clad (The go to guy)
His starting relic allows you to heal after every combat meaning you can play slightly more aggressive, see some example builds below.

  • Block til they drop: focus purely of block cards, he has a power card that means you don't lose your block at the end of your turn, do most of your damage through thorns amd a card that does damage = to block.

  • Exausting fight: there are several cards that let you draw cards, deal damage, gain energy or strength for being exhausted, if you can get some cards that let you exhaust others then you can do this and pick up some curses. This build is relic dependent as the vu du soll gives you strength per curse and another gives you max health, hard to get off but incredibly strong.

  • Strike it right: perfect strike gains damage per strike card and can start doing some ridiculous damage, there is a power card that gives you base strength (demon form or something), your main problem is energy so any of those is a bonus. This only really works because you can heal after combat due to your starting relic and is a dangerous build.
The silent (best boi)
My personal favourite character so below are some of my builds:

  • Discard and pray: he has alot of cards that get a bonus when something is discarded and some that give you bonuses with discarded, draw and discard cards are the best here, he has alot of decent 0 cards that work well with this. This build can be incredibly strong and if you get the relic that means you gain block when discarding then this is the strongest build in the game.

  • Liquid luck: he has a card that means you gain potions and a relic that gives you one at the end of a turn, very luck based so i don't really like it.

  • Alice Cooper: focus on block and poison, you can be doing ridiculous damage if you get sone doubles (upgrade these ASAP, they become triples) takes a while to get going (most fun build imo).

  • People get shivved in the joint: theres alot of shiv cards and a few power cards that increase their effectiveness, uograde the gain a shiv every turn card as that will then begin in your hand at the begging of combat (innate), works best in combination with one of the builds above. There is a card that applies poison on hit, youbget enough shiv cards going you can be applying 16 a turn plus the shiv damage plush whatever other caeds you use. Discarding obviously allows you to find the power cards you need to make this work amd since shivs are 0 cost once you grt going you can do a lot of attacks every turn (some relics make this useful such as the pen (double damage on next attack after 9 attacks) and the fan (gain block every 4 attacks in one turn))
The Defect (Mr roboto)
Filling up your orb slots and then gaining another eill invoke your next one, having 0 slots will not allow you to play any orb cards (you can play em they just wont work)
This is my weakest character so take with a grain of salt.

  • Double or nothing: he has a power card that uses the first card on each turn twice, this can double powers which can be insane, if you manage to get 2 and double the same card then your first 3 cards get doubled, dosnt sound as strong as it is but use this on some otherwise one use cards or cards that are expensive to play and you get some strong turns. Also will double orbs spawned so be carful with that (my favourite build on this guy)

  • Play passive: gain predominantly blocjk cards and let your passive orbs dobthe damage DONT get to many frost cards as you will be doing weak damage in general, gen some zap cards or the one that makes zao strike each enemy and spawn two zap orbs.

  • One hit wonder: theres a card that removed orb slots and gains you focus (increase orb potency) use this to your advantage and get down to one orb slot meaning orbs will get invoked rapidly, works beest with frost and lightning, the targeting xard can be useful here but again the zap every enemy would be better.

  • Ice cold killer: frost orbs, alot of em. Try to gain csrds that give you orb slots or channel frost orbs so you gain alot of armor at the end of a turn, there is a card that deals damage for every frost orb channeled for the ENTIRE COMBAT meaning if you hold the fight off long enough you can do near infinite damage to every enemy.

The text is unreadable at times due to the number of misprints. Otherwise, common sense advice.
