I was able to do this right after getting the quest from Corbin.

I hadn't put any points into leveling Fidget/Dust Storm stats.

You can do this pretty much with any giant with uneven terrain but here's where i did it when i got lazy. I prefer doing the combo with Fidget's electrical attack and flying though the levels with the aerial dust storm, but that's later into the game.

Check out the pics for it but all you have to do is reach the area i marked red in Abadis Forest and kill the first small enemies that come at you, where i am standing some come from above.

(IF you JUST got to the area, put out the burning spot with water, then do the combo)




After that is taken care of, lure the giant from the left back over and stand at the top of the mound, the mound is right next to the bridge- it's too high up for the giant to hit you so just spam "Dust Storm" with Fidget's "Energy Blast" (Fidget's default projectile) and of course, take small breaks in between the attack so you don't hurt yourself and break the chain.



And there you go, an easy 1000+ hit combo to get your quest/achievement outta the way.

And yes this tip/guide is aimed towards lower level/new players BUT if you're a much higher level and have spent your stat points accordingly, you can unequip everything you have and just wear the Ugly Pendant while doing combos.
