Introduction
Hello everybody. First of all sorry for any grammatical mistakes but english is not my native language. If you find any verbal mistakes just let me know it.

Because there isn't any achievement guide on steam for this game, I decided to create one. I have ordered the different achievements in different categories related to the necessary game modes. For everybody that is interested in statistics you can find the global gameplay stats here.

Be aware that you need to invest several hundreds hours of playtime and you have to be very patiently, if you want to reach 100% achievements in F1 2017. At least there isn't any extremely-hard-to-get achievement.
Career Achievements (Part 1)
Please note that you can choose any difficulty you want to. Even at the easiest difficulty you won't get any penalty and you can achieve all career related achievements.

Note: At the beginning of a new career you have to choose a team and sign a contract with them. Before you start your actual career (by signing a contract with your favorite team), sign a contract with "McLaren or Sauber" to get your first achievement Something to prove. Now go back to the main menu and start a new career. Now sign a contract with "Williams, Force India, Renault, Toro Rosso or Haas" to get your second achievement Contender. Again you leave to main menu and start your actual achievement. I would highly recommend you to go with Ferrari or Mercedes because you need to win a constructors championship and with one of these teams your teammate is much more likely to score a decent amount of points.

Something to prove
Accept a contract with McLaren or Sauber

At the beginning of a new career and throughout an active career you will get contract offers from interested teams. Just accept any contract offer from the teams "McLaren" or "Sauber".

Contender
Accept a contract with Williams, Force India, Renault, Toro Rosso or Haas

At the beginning of a new career and throughout an active career you will get contract offers from interested teams. Just accept any contract offer from the teams "Williams", "Force India", "Renault", "Toro Rosso" or "Haas".

Great expectations
Accept a contract with Red Bull, Ferrari or Mercedes

At the beginning of a new career and throughout an active career you will get contract offers from interested teams. Just accept any contract offer from the teams "Red Bull", "Ferrari" or "Mercedes".

Feed the machine
Complete a Fuel Management Practice Programme

Starting with any race weekend you have to complete 3 practice days at first. On every practice day you can finish the 4 different Practice Programmes "Track Acclimatisation", "Tyre Management", "Fuel Saving" and "Race Strategy". Go to "Session Info" then choose "Fuel Saving" and succesfully complete the programme.

It's a marathon, not a sprint
Complete a Race Strategy Practice Programme

Starting with any race weekend you have to complete 3 practice days at first. On every practice day you can finish the 4 different Practice Programmes "Track Acclimatisation", "Tyre Management", "Fuel Saving" and "Race Strategy". Go to "Session Info" then choose "Race Strategy" and succesfully complete the programme.

Hard work pays off
Complete your first Practice Programme

Starting with any race weekend you have to complete 3 practice days at first. On every practice day you can finish the 4 different Practice Programmes "Track Acclimatisation", "Tyre Management", "Fuel Saving" and "Race Strategy". Go to "Session Info" then choose any Practice Programme and succesfully complete a programme for your very first time after starting your career. If you don't know what to do, watch the tutorial videos on your ingame-laptop (see pictures above).

Practically perfect
Achieve a perfect result in a Practice Programme

All the practice programmes can be finished within 3 different results. Each result has its own color. RED = Incomplete, GREEN = Complete and BLUE = Perfect. For this achievement just finish any practice programme with a perfect (BLUE) result. You can check your result on your session info.

Setting up
Complete a valid qualifying lap using the maximum fuel setting

This achievement can be done in any game mode but it is usually obtained during your career. The maximum fuel setting is the default setting. So just complete a qualifying lap without changing any settings to obtain this trophy.

Best Seat In The House
Take pole position

This achievement can be done in any game mode but it is usually obtained during your career. You just need to drive the fastest time in a qualifying session.

Back up to speed
Improve your performance to elevate yourself out of the 'Underachieving' zone

Open your laptop between races and you will see a graph stat indicating how your team feels about you. If you're performing in the red zone they're not happy with you, if it's green you're performing as expected and if it's purple you're overachieving. For the purpose of this trophy you will need to be in the red zone first and then work your way up to the purple zone. You will raise your team approval by completing session and team goals.

Easy way: Start a new career and pick a top tier team like Red Bull, Mercedes or Ferrari (other teams will work as well but the top tier teams will work faster). Now skip the first 2 to 4 races until your team rates you as underperforming (red zone). From here on out, go on and win races until you reach the purple zone and the trophy will pop.

First of many?
Take your first win in any full season

Just win your first race out of the 20 races of the full season. This achievement can also be done in the game mode "Championships".

Seasoned Veteran
Complete a Full Season of 20 Races in Career or Championships

Complete all 20 races of a full season in career or championships mode. It is highly recommended doing it in career mode because this will take you a long time but in career mode you will also get the rare resource points.

Invite only
Accept an invite to an Invitational event

After every few races throughout your career you will recieve invites to Invitational Events with historic cars. Accept one of these events and the achievement will pop up.

Career Achievements (Part 2)
Chris knows best
Research a recommended upgrade

Between your practice days and races you get access to your ingame-laptop where you can see all your stats and progress. One index tab is called "Research and Development". There you can see your progress to your car upgrades. When you open your R&D Tree, you see all the 4 different departments (Durability, Powertrain, Aerodynamics, Chassis). There is also the option to research a recommended upgrade by your chef engineer Chris. Click the option, research the recommended upgrade and enjoy your achievement.

Some assembly required
Apply all vehicle upgrades from one department

Between your practice days and races you get access to your ingame-laptop where you can see all your stats and progress. One index tab is called "Research and Development". There you can see your progress to your car upgrades. When you open your R&D Tree, you see all the 4 different departments (Durability, Powertrain, Aerodynamics, Chassis). Just research and develop all upgrades from any of the 4 departments. Starting with the durability is probably the best.

Out with the old
Switch out a worn engine part

Between your practice days and races you get access to your ingame-laptop where you can see all your stats and progress. One index tab is called "Vehicle Management". There you can see all your vehicle parts and their overall wear. If you reach a 90% or higher rate of wear on any engine part, this part is worn. You will also get a notice at your News Feed on your ingame-laptop. Now switch it out with a new one. Every part has the following 4 different states of wear:

  • Green = 0 - 49 % wear (part has no technical losses)
  • Yellow = 50 - 74 % wear (part has a few technical losses)
  • Orange = 75 - 89 % wear (part has much more technical losses)
  • Red = 90 - 100% wear (part is worn

Down but not out
Take a grid drop penalty for switching an engine part

Between your practice days and races you get access to your ingame-laptop where you can see all your stats and progress. One index tab is called "Vehicle Management". There you can see all your vehicle parts and their overall wear. During each season you have 4 power units available to use. Exceeding the 4 available power units by using a 5th one will result in a grid drop penalty.

Up to eleven
Out qualify your team mate 11 times in one season

Every team has 2 drivers. For example if you play Lewis Hamilton from team Mercedes then your team mate is Valtteri Bottas. One season has 20 qualifying sessions. Now you just need to out qualify (= setting a lower time) your team mate. It isn't really that hard, especially when you play on lowest difficulty.

Blast from the past
Complete an Invitational event

After every few races throughout your career you will recieve invites to Invitational Events with historic cars. Accept one of these events and complete it by fulfilling the events task.

On the shoulders of giants
Have 75% of the vehicle upgrades applied

Between your practice days and races you get access to your ingame-laptop where you can see all your stats and progress. One index tab is called "Research and Development". There you can see your progress to your car upgrades. When you open your R&D Tree, you see all the 4 different departments (Durability, Powertrain, Aerodynamics, Chassis). There is a total of 85 upgrades. Therefore you need to apply 64 upgrades and your achievement will pop up.

Underestimated
Spend at least 75% of your season being rated as 'Overachieving' by your team

Open your laptop between races and you will see a graph stat indicating how your team feels about you. If you're performing in the red zone they're not happy with you, if it's green you're performing as expected and if it's purple you're overachieving. For the purpose of this trophy you will need to be in the purple zone for 75% of your season. One season consists of 20 race weekends. Therefore you need to be in the purple zone for at least 15 race weekens.

The right person for the job
Receive a promotion to first driver

No matter with what team you start your career, you will start as the second driver. Consistently beating your team mate and fulfilling your team objectives will let you recieve a promotion to first driver after a few race weekends.

[Sry, but I only have a screenshot of the Team Promotion in german. It says:" Dear Andy, Senior management have noticed your recent performance and decided to promote you to the teams 1st driver. You will receive an additional bonus after each race to reflect your added responsibility. We look forward to seeing where you take the team in the upcoming months. Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport]

Top that!
Set the fastest time in all three Practice sessions, take pole position and win the Grand Prix

I guess it is very self explaining. Every race weekend starts with 3 practice sessions, 1 qualifying session and 1 Grand Prix. In every practice and qualifying session set the fastest time and then win the grand prix. Voilà!

Career Achievements (Part 3)
Top of the pile
Win the Formula 1 Drivers' Championship

After every race you will get points based on your position. You need to accumulate the most points of every driver over the 20 races in one season. Between your practice days and races you get access to your ingame-laptop where you can see all your stats and progress. One index tab is called "Standings". There you can see your progress towards the Driver's Championship. The allocation of points per race in the Formula 1 is as follows:

Position
Points
1st
25
2nd
18
3rd
15
4th
12
5th
10
6th
8

8th
4
9th

10th

It's a team sport
Win the Formula 1 Constructors' Championship

Same as with the achievement "Top of the pile" you need to earn the most points over the 20 races of one season, except this time it will be the points of you and your team mate combined. These points go to your constructor (e.g. Mercedes or Ferrari) and together you need to get more points than any other constructor (driver duo).

Time Trial Achievements
Timing is everything
Set a clean lap in any Time Trial

From the Main Menu select Time Trial and go on to set a valid lap on any circuit. Any of the circuits count so you can use the short version of Great Britain, USA and Bahrain as well to save yourself some time. For a valid lap you're not allowed to leave the track or collide with a wall. You will notice an invalid lap, if your track on the minimap is red. After you have completed a valid lap, you can just quit out via the options menu and it will automatically save.

Time waits for no one
Set a clean lap in Time Trial at 10 circuits

From the Main Menu select Time Trial and go on to set a valid lap on 10 different circuits.

Tip: Before choosing the circuit you want to race at, you can also choose between "Dry" and "Wet". Choose "Wet" while doing this achievement will save you some time because you are working on 2 different achievements at the same time (see Slippery when wet).

Slippery when wet
Set wet times in Time Trial at 5 circuits

From the Main Menu select Time Trial and go on to set a valid lap on 5 different circuits while you choose "Wet" before (see picture below).

Online Achievements
More to come
Complete a Race in an Online Championship

From the Main Menu select "Multiplayer", then select "Online Championship". Now you can start a new championship, setting up the tracks and regulations. Since you just have to complete one race of an online championship (not to win) you can create a public session and wait for someone else to join. Alternatively you can also do this with a friend of yours in a private lobby.

Welcome to the real world

Competetive Streak
Obtain a rank of 25 Online

You are gaining experience points by playing public multiplayer races. You can obtain new online ranks by getting a certain number of experience points. The better you perform (both in qualifications and races) the more XP you will gain. Reaching rank 25 will grant you this achievement. For more information look above to the achievement "Welcome to the real world".

Another Lap?
Obtain a champion star Online

Every player that is reaching an online rank of 50 (highest rank) will get a Champion Star. Therefore just reach rank 50 and enjoy your achievement. For more information about how to gaining experience points, look above to the achievement "Welcome to the real world".

Asserting dominance
Win a total of 5 Online Races

As the achievement itself says: Just win 5 Online Races. I found out that every online race (even if it is in a private lobby with one of your friends) will count towards the achievement. So this is quite easy to boost together with a friend in a private lobby. Dont worry, the wins wont count towards your player stats. Player stats will be only updated by your performance from public races!
Remaining Achievements (Part 1)
Déjà vu
Use a Flashback

It can be done in every game mode. While you are driving on any track/circuit open the Pause Menu. Now select "Instant Replay/Flashback" to rewind and make up for mistakes you have made. The achievement will pop after using this feature for the first time.

Tinker
Use the Multi Function Display to adjust your set-up while on track

It can be done in every game mode. During any racing session open and bring up the Multi Function Display (bottom right corner, above your tachometer) while racing. Now just change anything like e.g. "Fuel Mix" to obtain this achievement.

Maybe there's another way
Complete 10 laps on the alternate route tracks

It can be done in every game mode. There are only a few alternate tracks that are different from the normal and official Grand Prix version. They are short versions of the official tracks e.g. Britain, USA and Bahrain. Simply complete 10 laps on these tracks.

Back on track
Resume a race using a Mid-Session Save

It can be done in every game mode. During any racing session open the Pause Menu, switch to the tab "Manage Session" and select "Mid Session Save". Now select "Save and Exit". Your race progress is now be saved and you can continue from exactly where you saved on the track the next time you play. Resume the saved race and the achievement is yours.

NOT NOW JEFF!
Politely ask your Race Engineer to stop talking to you out on track

It can be done in every game mode. During any racing session open your Communications Menu and toggle between the comments until you find the one that says "Shut up Jeff". Scroll down and select the said comment to obtain this achievement.

Jeff knows best
Pit under the Safety Car onto the team's suggested strategy

Best done in game mode "Grand Prix". Be sure to set the following options:

Track:
Monaco
Race Distance:
25% or higher
Vehicle Damage:
Simulation
Safety Car:
On
Weather Effect:
Heavy Rain
Driver:
Lewis Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel

If you picked Lewis Hamilton or Sebastien Vettel, you will start from a front row position. Now cause a pile up in the first corner right after the start. The safety car won't always come out right away so just start driving again for a second and cause again a pile up until the safety car comes up. If a safety car comes up, your team will suggest an alternative strategy for pitting under the safety car. Now drive into the pit at the first possibility to obtain the achievement. It might take a few tries to get the safety car to appear but with these settings it shouldn’t take long.

To the limit
Perform a perfect pitstop with Pit Assists disabled and Rules enabled

It can be done in every game mode but I would recommend the mode "Grand Prix". First of all you need to set the right options. "Rules and flags" needs to be activated and "Pit Assist" + "Pit Release Assist" needs to be deactivated. Now start the race and request a pit stop through the communications menu. Now when you come into pit make sure you enter the pit lane at the right speed. The speed limit in pits is 80 (60) km/h or 50 (37) mph, depends on the circuit you're on. As soon as you cross the white line to enter the pits turn on the pit limiter. During your pit stop you will have to hold the clutch and release it as soon as the pit stop is done. Then turn off the pit limiter at the end of the pits and exit the pit lane. The achievement will then pop up. It might take you a few tries to get the right timing but it shouldn’t be too difficult to pull it off.

A nice video on YouTube from the user Lightsp33d1987 shows you how to do it perfectly:

Stick or shift
With manual gears enabled race a car with a non sequential gearbox

From the Main Menu pick "Grand Prix" and select "Classic F1 Cars". Now choose the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 (DLC car) or the 1991 McLaren MP4/6. Under the tab "Assists" you have to set the option "Gearbox" to "Manual". Now just complete the race. You don’t have to win it.

Don't hold my hand
Complete any race with all assists disabled

It can be done in every game mode. Just disable all assists (see picture below) and start a race. Complete it and the achievement is yours. You don't even need to win the race.

The prancing horse
Complete a race in a classic Ferrari at Monza

From the Main Menu pick "Grand Prix" and select "Classic F1 Cars". Now choose the 1995 Ferrari 412 T2, the 2002 Ferrari F2002, the 2004 Ferrari F2004 or the 2007 Ferrari F2007. After that choose the track "Italy - Autodromo Nazionale Monza" and complete the race. Winning the race isn't necessary.

The best of British
Complete a race in a classic British car at Silverstone

From the Main Menu pick "Grand Prix" and select "Classic F1 Cars". Now choose the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 (DLC car), the 1991 McLaren MP4/6, the 1992 Williams FW14B, the 1996 Williams FW18, the 1998 McLaren MP4-13 or the 2008 McLaren MP4-23. After that choose the track "Britain - Silverstone Circuit" and complete the race. Winning the race isn't necessary.

Remaining Achievements (Part 2)
Like the deserts miss the rain...
Complete a race at Bahrain or Abu Dhabi in heavy rain

From the Main Menu select "Grand Prix", Modern or Classic cars, pick the track "Bahrain - Bahrain International Circuit" or "Abu Dhabi - Yas Marina Circuit" and set Quick Weather to "Heavy Rain". Now start and complete the race. Winning isn't necessary.

When the stars come out
Complete a night race at Monaco

From the Main Menu select "Grand Prix", Modern or Classic cars, pick the track "Monaco - Circuit de Monaco" and set Session Start Time to "Midnight". Now start and complete the race. Winning isn't necessary.

The weather man
Create and race your own weather scenario

From the Main Menu select "Grand Prix", Modern or Classic cars, pick any track and set Quick Weather to "Custom". Now you can create your own weather scenario. After you have created your own weather scenario just start and complete the race.

To the victor go the spoils
Obtain a gold medal in a championship

From the Main Menu select "Championships" and pick the event type "Championships". Now you can choose any championship event and win it to get a gold medal. I recommend the "Sprint Championships". Its very easy and you don't have to invest much time.

On the podium
Achieve a podium finish in any game mode

As the achievement itself says: Achieve a podium finish (Position 1 - 3) in any game mode.

The 1% club
Win a 25% + distance race against 'Ultimate' AI opponents

As stated in the description, you have to win a race against the AI on the hardest difficulty setting in the game. This is by far the hardest achievement in the game if done legitimately. But you can get this achievement quite easily if you don't mind cheating a bit. In the following I will tell you the easy way.

From the Main Menu select "Grand Prix" and set up the following options:

Driver:
Lewis Hamilton or Sebastian Vettel
Track:
Italy - Autodromo Nazionale Monza
Race Distance:
25% or higher
AI Driver Level:
101 - 110 (Ultimate)
Vehicle Damage:
Off
Rules and Flags:
Off

Monza has some big chicanes that you can exploit now by simply running straight instead of taking them properly. You will gain so much time from this that you won't have to worry about the AI.

If you want to see how you have to drive, I've found a nice video guide for you on YouTube from the user "It's Ya Boy".

Closing Remarks
Hopefully I could have helped you all. If you find any mistakes just message me or write it in the comments. Any constructive criticism is desirable.

If you liked my (second) guide pls rate and favorite it.

Thank you very much!

Now have fun with this great game and enjoy racing in your F1-racing car.
