Fill a ship or two with a rare resource like nevidium and you can cheat the market with some simple drop pickup and buy sell stock routines.
That trickery aside I love the concept and this guide isn't overly complicated. I suggest using the profits for large silicon stations and maybe some teladianium stations. In the right areas they can break 50k a hour and help fuel future production.
1) "Differentiate your portfolio" = Invest in the largest number (20-30) of companies you can. This reduce the risk of your investment. = Buy small amount of shares of many companies.
2) Grow step by step the size of your investment. (500, 1000, 2000, 5000, 10K, 20K, 50K, 100K, shares) - Only when you already have investment in all the companies, and free cash left, increase the size to the next step.
3) BUY when "Trading at:" is at the minimum (= "Min Cr:") or 2-3 points above it.
4) SELL when the share is near the level: (Min Cr + Max Cr) / 2 -- (half the way between Min and Max price) or, to make it simpler, when the profit reach the size of the investment (= investment is doubled.)
5) To monitor the price of the shares near the MIN level (interesting for us), BUY 1 share of all the companies with price in the range 20-30 above the minimum, so you will see when they are RED (going down) and reach the level good to BUY.
6) Use SETA all the time.
But if you buy the shares when they're at their lowest, you can't lose money on those unless you sell when they're the same price.
