Intro
Hi Off-Road fans,

we all know the support for Off-Road Drive is a mess, especially for the multiplayer part. Almost nobody really knows how to get it running . The official servers for the game seem to be offline. I watched some guides, looked in the official forum and googled, but none of the solutions I found worked. After a while of testing I figured out how to succesfully play a multiplayer match. In this guide I want to share my solution with all of you.
Setup Server
First of all we start with setting up the server. This is the most difficult part of the whole multiplayer setup.

1. Setup on the router

We need to forward the port UDP 7777 on the router. For those who don't know how to forward ports here[portforward.com] you can find a description on how to forward ports on many different router models. And as always, google is your friend.

2. Find out your public IP-adress

If you don't know it, this[www.whatsmyip.org] site will show it to you.

3. Setup in the game

3.1 Start the game
3.2 Select multiplayer
3.3 Select create game
3.4 Set server type to LAN
3.5 You can customize the other settings however you want.
3.6 Start the server by pressing enter. Confirm the warning Message.
3.7 You should be in the lobby now.

If the "server is starting" Message gets displayed for a long time (20sec+), you probably still have a port forwarding issue because step 1 has not been done correctly.

In-game setup is now be completed

4. Share your Ip

Give your IP, which you figured out in step 2 to all people you want to play with.
Setup Client
The client setup is much easier. There are only a few steps to do.

The following steps have to be done by everybody who want to join your multiplayer match

1. Setup Ingame

1.0 Start the game
1.1 Select multiplayer
1.2 Click "Choose"
1.3 On the top right corner change from "Lan" to "Internet"
1.4 Accept the "No Server found"-message
1.5 Press F8 and enter the hosts IP-adress.
1.6 You should now be in the lobby

After these steps you should be able to play Multiplayer matches. Congratulations !!!
Further Information
I still have problems to connect !

Try to deactivate the Windows firewall on server and client side. Also try to deactivate the firewall on your router for a short time to test if it is a firewall problem. I do not recommend to disable the firewall for a longer periode of time.

Check if the IP the host gave you is right. The most IP-adresses change after 24 hours. So the host needs to give you his new adress after it changed.

Thanks for reading!

We created a Steam-group so that we can share the IPs to play together. Feel free to join it. Also if you have any questions about this guide don't hesitate to ask.

Please leave a comment if this guide is workling for you.

Happy four-wheeling !
