How to easily beat Rotation Billiards on expert difficulty (Haruka's Requests)
By margol1863
A lot of people seem to be having problems with Rotation Billiards on expert, which is required to be played and won to finish the "Haruka's Requests" quest line. This guide will show you how to do just that.

Step 1.) What you need:
A ruler or a sheet of paper. That's it.

Step 2.) Preparations
First of all, I highly recommend saving right before the minigame in Vincent's bar. Otherwise every time you mess up, you will have to exit and reenter the bar before you can retry. After starting the mini game, the first thing you need to do is to make sure that you go first. Doing this can be quite hard as the CPU is an absolute Billiards god.

Your objective is to hit the ball so that it bounces off the upper end of the pool table and stops as close to the lower end as possible. If you pull your pool stick as far back as in the screenshot provided here, you should be able to beat the CPU and get to shoot first. If you don't get it the first time, just quit the mini game and reload your last save.

Step 3.) Shooting the ball
At the beginning of each game, the balls are racked in a triangle just like in eight-ball. What you need to do here is to hit the Ball Nr. 1 (the yellow one) and if possible sink another one. If you do it like in the screenshots here, you have a high chance of immediately scoring at least one ball. Do note however, that this is by no means consistent as the "ball RNG" changes every time you boot up the game, so your results may vary.

Step 4.) Sinking
First thing you want to do is to Press "X" on your Xbox controller or "Square" on your Dualshock controller to get into the overhead view. Now you will see a line that starts at your cue ball and at the end of it a semi transparent "ghost ball", this ghost ball shows you where your cue ball will hit, provided that you shoot it with full force.

Now this is where your piece of paper/ruler comes into play. Closely hover with it over your computer screen, then line it up with both your ghost ball and the ball you want to hit. You want to do it in a way so that the paper/ruler covers one half of both balls. Now think of the side of the paper/ruler that covers the balls as a line, this line is where the ball you want to hit will go if you hit it with your cue ball. Now all you need to do is aim with the ball at one of the pool holes. I recommend not shooting the ball with full force unless you need to hit a hole at the end of the table, pulling the stick back about 3/4 of the maximal pull back distance seems to be optimal.

Boom, you now know how to play pool and satisfy your daughterfu

I truly hope from the bottom of my heart that whoever designed this shit request, stepts on a lego piece at night while they go to the bathroom to pee.

@DiFlocka - when the cue ball hits the object ball, the object ball will move directly away from the point of contact. In order to predict exactly what that direction is you can draw a line between the exact centre point of the two balls at the moment they hit. Covering half of each of the balls gives you that. The ghostly cue ball that shows up predicts where the two balls will be when they contact each other so that's where you need to draw your line.
