Introduction
If you have any suggestions, please feel free to add me and let me know.
Thank you.

This is a guide aimed at players who know almost nothing about the game.

Aiming and Weapon Mechanics
M4A1:
An all-around assault weapon, that is extremely effective at short - medium - long medium
This is a automatic/semi-automatic assault rifle.
It has a 30 bullet magazine, and you spawn with 4 magazines.
Simply learn the recoil pattern to master it.
It takes 4 bullets to the chest to down an enemy with this weapon.

M14EBR-R1:
This is a semi-automatic marksman's rifle.
It has a 21 bullet magazine, and you spawn with 2 magazines.
Use it for medium/long range engagements. It takes two shots to the chest to kill an enemy with this rifle.

M249-SAW:
This is a fully automatice LMG. The recoil on this weapon is quite hard to control consistently, but with practice, it can be mastered. You will spawn with 2 100 round magazines. Use this weapon for more of a support role, firing down lanes of sight, etc.

Remington 870 MC5:
Well, this weapon is a shotgun, tried and true. It's a one-shot kill at 6 meters and less, but after that, it becomes extremely inneffective. I would recommend it only for tight quarter maps like siege and crossfire.

M9:
This is a semi-automatic pistol. It is only effective for headshots, or at close range. Use it only as a last option if you run out of bullets with your primary. Switching to the pistol is faster than reloading, but beware as the damage is very low.

Character Movement

First off, this gets a lot of new players, if you are sprinting, it takes a second to raise your weapon to fire it, and can be very bad if coming around a corner. So remember, be ready for an encounter around EVERY corner. Crouching is with the key C, and prone is X, as in most games. By the way, prone is usually a bad idea, unless you feel VERY comfortable where you are, because the only target your enemy sees is your head. It is also really easy to sneak up on prone people and beat them to death...
To anchor yourself on an object, press Z, and press Z again to duck. To un-anchor, just move to the side. I don't use the anchor function very much, as I normally just stand behind the object, but it's different for everyone.
If you jump from a building, with less than 50% health, you will be very close to death. And if you only have 25% or less, expect "Leaving a small crater" and getting some achievement. I have seen many a new player be in a firefight and back off a building while shooting to his inevitable death. (Actually gives me quite the laughing fit)
Vaulting over an object is quite easy, just press space as if you were jumping, and you will "hoist" yourself up and over it. Quite useful for getting over cement barriers for cover.
I think that's everything.

^ That is the basics. Here is a more in-depth look at them.

When you are engaging an enemy around a corner, or a doorway, then you never walk across it. That will expose you and give him every advantage. Use your jump key when going around a corner. While you are in the air, press down the Left mouse button, this will cause you to immediately fire when your feet hit the ground. This is will surprise the enemy and throw his aim off.
An alternative to that tactic, is sliding. While sprinting, press and hold C. This will cause you to slide forward with a greater velocity. While you are sliding, start turning your crosshair to where the enemy will be. That way you will come around the corner with a low profile, very quickly(throwing his aim off), and already shooting at him.

I personally am a bunny, but if you feel that sliding is more your style, then go ahead. I would recommend practicing both of these techniques in offline mode.

Teamwork
Well, in a public game, you can only communicate and work together to a certain extent. Of course, there are some basics that you should know. Securing enemies makes them un-revivable, and removes them from a fight. Reviving a teammate gives you a second pair of eyes and ears. Always try to clear the area before you revive or secure, as there may be an enemy around the corner, trying to bait you. If you really want teamwork, then you should get into competition. If you want more information on that, then add me and let me know.

Choking
If you are facing the front of an enemy, there is no melee attack. Only if you are behind the enemy will pressing F work. Also, if he is prone, then you may do the same thing, press and hold F. My favorite method is to get an enemies attention by shooting from one area, and while he scans that area for me, I work my way behind him and choke him out. If all else fails, shoot him. That's what I do most of the time.

Observation
If you are really bad, and can't seem to get the hang of this game, then switch to spectator mode and watch anyone who has tags on, as they probably know what they are doing. There are also many great resources on Youtube available, check out some of BCPull's videos, he goes by "N. Wren" on Youtube. His channel:

If you didn't get anything I just said, then start the game, hit the "Play" button on the bottom left, hit the "Training" button. Then hit Train Now.

Enjoy, have fun, and beast it up.

its annoying because you can hack at this game and not get banned

Yea, well the competitive community is composed of really good players...which means you can't really tell if they're hacking, or if they're just good. Also, the spectate view does not show recoil properly, so it's not accurate either.
