this software is actually pretty nifty and feature packed, highly recommend looking through the manual provided with it

after step one you're gonna wanna open up options tab and enable expert mode (just so yours looks like mine to reduce confusion)

then after that do this


make sure you chose Game.exe for the file path

now it should look like this


I'm gonna show you exact screens of how I've set it up

we're gonna have the game run in 4:3 with vsync which will fix animation bugs and picture quality

Main

hide desktop background is gonna give you good black bars on either side of the game, and desktop work area will make it fill the center of your main screen

Video

1280x960 is gonna be your best bet for getting the most out of the screen here

DirectX(2)

vsync is a must to fix animation bugs

okay that should get the game running and looking nicely. btw don't try and launch the game through DxWnd just save those settings and leave it running, then run the game though steam (that one took a min to figure out)
if you're having trouble try running DxWnd as admin, or poke around the provided manual in the download files (once again highly suggest that anyway)

this was my first guide so I hope this at least saves y'all some time and frustration, thanks to Ross's Game Dungeon for featuring this game a while back, letting me know it even existed
