you might already know by now or simply just dont care. But the best way to disarm these traps is to shoot the acid box until the acid leaks down onto the "wire" (which is the steel line coming out of the pedestal and into the box. The pedestal sends out an electric signal to the steel wire, but with the acid cutting the wire it never reaches the acid trap and thus you have effectively disarmed the trap.

@Vox Infinitum It wasn't a Sea of Acid spell. It was an acid circle trap that triggers when you pick up the wand on the pedestal
