After months of trying to find a copy of the japanese l4d2 arcade game, I finally found a copy!

So I'm proud to present: the Left 4 Dead: Survivors arcade melee weapons ported to left 4 dead 2.

This adds every arcade melee weapon back to left 4 dead 2, not every weapon is in every map due to it breaking the melee weapons if over 16.

but don't worry, if you want all melee weapons in every campaign, stay tuned :)


THIS ADDS

-newspaper bat (has a broken rng texture, i'll try to fix it at a later time but the other texture IS included)
-spiked bat
-extended baton
-hand ax
-mace
-morning star
-gladiator sword (has a broken run animation, the model was made like that, idk why)
-long sword
-great sword (anime-like sword)
-kanasaibo
-sabel
-shotel

In gamemaps they managed to collect a lot of models of melee weapons, both from Arcade mode and from different custom maps created by the community. It is a beautiful thing that this content has not been completely lost

unfortunately not, unless someone can get L4D2 to read & load custom firearms scripts without using the custom weapon base (it takes a melee slot from a campaign mission script from what I understand)

hopefully at some point it'll be possible

Is it possible to add all the guns from the Survivors arcade game into L4D2 itself without replacing existing weapons?

they use default melee weapons animations such as the baseball bat, tonfa, machete, and katana

no, custom campaigns don't have this avaliable.

the campaign maker would have to add everything this mod has (textures, models, etc) and then make mission txt files to use the arcade weapons
