"WHAT? You can dodge?!" Yup! I only found out after repeatedly failing to defeat the last boss in Tower of F8 so I figured I'd put it in a quick guide for anybody else is in a similar situation.


You can dodge enemy attacks by pressing either the left or right arrow key when you hear a pinging sound effect from the enemy.


It's during a combat encounter on 2/F (only accessible after escaping the basement floor) I cannot seem to embed a YouTube video at a specific time code so here's a link instead.

In the middle of typing out a long word when you press the wrong letter? Maybe the long words are just plain too stressful?


You can skip them by misspelling them on purpose. Simply press the space, comma, period, or exclamation point key that immediately follows the word and you can move on to the next.

Note that you'll be breaking your combo but that's better than continuously being attacked while you're trying to type out the single word.

Have you checked the forums? There's probably somebody else who's also stuck where you're at. If not I actually recorded my playthrough of Backspace Bouken and ended up 100%-ing it (both Tower of F8 and The Numb Lock) so if you're really stuck, hopefully you may be able to find your solution somewhere in it!
