"Geometry and texturing: Crocotile 3D

A work where I experiment with organic forms and shadows. Very rought result, but I am somewhat satisfied.

Originally, the rose was supposed to be a part of a scene I had planned for "International Crocotile Day" on 17-th of June. I wanted to make a scene where the mascot of Crocotile looks at a rose in a vase and creates a lower-poly version of it. It was suppose to demonstrate that Crocotile 3D allows for capturing sophisticated beauty within its limitations. By creating a complex looking "real-life" rose, I wanted to signify that those limitations can be pushed by desire and skill (albeit, the message might have been lost with my inexperience with shadowing).

Nevertheless, Happy International Crocotile Day 2021, everyone! If it's not June 17, simply have a good day and wait for the next one ;)"
