Artifact: Honor - Desolate Forest
Honor is probably the first artifact you will find and is sometimes in the Desolate Forest. When activated, this artifact will make elite enemies the only type of enemy to spawn, adding a new level of challenge to your experience.

To add this artifact to your collection, go to the very left of the Desolate Forest, once there you may need a Jetpack or another high-jumping item to get into the area that leads to the artifact. You'll know it when you see it (assuming the map generated the terrain leading to it). Once into that area, simply go down and claim the artifact, you will be able to use jump pads to return to the rest of the level.

Here are some screen shots:
This is the artifact. (Note, you cannot get it from right here.)

Go RIGHT above the area in the screenshot to the left and you will arrive in the area shown below, from there you go left and then down and you will gain Honor.
Artifact: Kin - Dried Lake
The artifact Kin makes one species of enemies spawn per level. For instance, since the Dried Lake area has a common species of Sand Crabs, that area may spawn only Sand Crabs the entire level. The next level, say, Sky Meadow, has a species of Jellyfish, so it might only spawn Jellyfish the entire round.

In order to get this artifact, you go to the middle right of Dried Lake where you may see that a chunk of the wall looks slightly damaged. Shoot at this wall until it breaks, and enter the hidden room.

It should be noted that this wall apparently cannot be broken using the Huntress.

There will be three buttons in this room, two in the top, one in the middle. Go to the top-most level and shoot the two buttons quickly, then climb the rope down and shoot the last button. Do this as quickly as you can, because if you aren't fast enough the buttons will reset. Once you have successfuly done this, there it is, the artifact Kin on the pedestal waiting for your blood-stained hands to grab it.

Here are some screenshots:

Artifact: Distortion - Damp Caverns
The artifact Distortion can be found in the Damp Caverns. This artifact locks a randomly selected ability for one minute, and then locks another one. To get this artifact, you must travel to the top right of the stage until you can't go farther without falling off the fungi-infested platforms. Once you're there, if the world generated the artifact, you will see three platforms that are too far to be jumped on normally. Use the Enforcer's rockets, or the Bandit's dynamite to activate a dark grey box on one of the platforms. Congratulations, the artifact has spawned on a platform right under you.

NOTE: If you have a jetpack, or enough rusty jetpacks and goat hooves, you can do this with other characters by jumping onto the platform to activate the box directly.

Here are some screenshots:

Artifact: Spite - Sky Meadow
The Spite artifact, which looks like... some kind of worm-infested asteroid, can be found in one of the maps of Sky Meadow. This artifact makes enemies send out bombs in all directions once killed. In order to get this artifact, go towards the middle of the map on the lowest section. You should see a chunk of ground that, much like in getting Kin, looks damaged. Using the Bandit, Enforcer, or Engineer, throw some of your dynamite/bombs at the chunk of damaged ground. If done correctly, it will explode and reveal a path that goes down and to the left.

Now you have to do a bit of jumping. This portion can be done using most any character. However, for this example I will be using the Bandit. There will be a series of platforms that you have to jump across. Use the bandit's ability "Smokebomb" to gain the speed needed to get across these. After the platforms, there will be ropes hanging from the ceiling. Use these to get across the void underneath you.

After you've gotten to the ledge past these obstacles, the Spite artifact should be floating right in front of your face. Grab it, and jump off the cliff to healthily teleport back to the main levels of the Sky Meadow. Because that's how bottomless pits work.

Here are some screenshots:

Artifact: Glass - Frozen Tundra
The Glass artifact causes all your attacks to do 500% damage, at the cost of starting out with only 10% of your original health.

In order to get this artifact, you will need to go to the middle left of the Frozen Tundra, where there are quite a lot of chains. There will be a small indent in the mountain that you can get through quite easily by dropping off a ledge and holding left. After you get into this cave, there are five buttons that you need to hit. When you first get in, there will be a few ledges that you can easily jump across. After hitting the two buttons, go down and there will be more ledges with another two buttons. After this, there will be a drop down, and to the left are chains hanging from the ceiling. In order to get to them jump down and use the Miner's jump attack ability to air jump onto the chains. This can be quite hard to do at first, but with a little practice will be very doable.

After you have pressed all the buttons, the Glass artifact will appear, and you can jump down to grab it.

NOTE: While it is easiest to do this with the Miner, it can be done with other characters as long as you have sufficient Goat Hooves/Rusty Jetpacks or just the Jetpack.

Here's some screenshots:

Artifact: Enigma - Sunken Tomb
The Enigma is a strange present looking artifact that, when activated, becomes an irreplaceable item with a random effect every time it is used. It has the same cooldown time as whatever item it mimics.

The Enigma can be found at the bottom right corner of one of the Sunken Tomb maps. There will be a drop off that appears to lead into a bottomless pit, but upon closer inspection has a path at the other end of itself. Jumping into the pit will not teleport you back to land, but jump you upwards instead, use this to get under the wall and go right. Enigma will be sitting there, waiting for you to retrieve it.

Here are some screenshots:

Artifact: Sacrifice - Magma Barracks
The artifact Sacrifice ironically comes at no great sacrifice for you. When activated, Sacrifice removes all chests from the map and instead causes enemies to have a chance to drop items. This combined with Command can make for some very easy runs.

In order to get this artifact, you must hit three buttons and then retrieve the artifact in the bottom (but not the complete bottom) of the map. These buttons, however, are behind thin walls. You can use the Bandit and Huntress to shoot objects that will pierce through the wall and press the button. The buttons are located at the top left, left middle, and right middle of the map as shown in the screenshots below.

NOTE: Some have said that Cremator's flaming rocks of death can activate the buttons. However, we have not tested this and it would really just be easier to hit the buttons yourself.

Here are some screenshots:

Artifact: Command - Hive Cluster
The Command artifact looks like a powerful bracelet, or crown, of a commanding beast. With the Command artifact enabled, items will no longer be random, you can literally pick from every choosable item for each tier of box.

In Hive Cluster, pink ropes will sometimes spawn at the top right of the map. These ropes switch between visible, transparent, and completely invisable. All you need to do is climb across the gap using these ropes and nab the Command artifact.

NOTE: Even when they are invisible, you can hang and climb off the ropes. They're still there even when you can't see them

Here are some screenshots:

Artifact: Spirit - Temple Ruins
The artifact Spirit could be the most game-changing artifact yet. When activated, it makes characters run faster when at lower health, activating at a loss of about 12% health. Note that when It says characters, It means anything that moves. Literally all enemies move at increadible speed when at low health, but so do you. This makes it extremely difficult to harm enemies when close to them, as they will come up to you and eat your flesh if provoked (and we all know you will provoke them).

Before doing this, you may want to make sure you have a jetpack (not the rusted kind). The artifact can be found in the Temple Ruins. In order to acquire this artifact, you must jump off the very right of the map. If the world spawned the artifact, there will be hovering platforms that you can land on.

After you have jumped down, there will be a series of tiny hanging platforms which you have to jump across. These are the smallest platforms so far, so jump carefully. When you've jumped across all of those, hey look, more floating platforms. These next platforms have jump pads on them, but if you have the jetpack this part will be even easier. After that, there it is, the Spirit artifact. Once again, use the magical power of bottomless pits to safely teleport back up to the mainland after collecting the artifact.

Here are some screenshots:

Artifact: Origin - Risk of Rain
Well, here it is! The Origin painting you requested. Post what you think!
The Origin artifact will spawn imps around the map every ten minutes when active, so it seems barely worth the trouble, but gaining it is it's own reward. About three normal imps and one huge imp will spawn wherever you are, in a purple circle of death. However, the imps really aren't that hard, and can be taken down easily if you know what you're doing.

Origin is by far the hardest artifact to obtain in the game. In order to obtain this artifact, you must play through the game in either single-player or multi-player with every other artifact activated. Once you've gotten to the final stage and beaten the final boss, Providence, don't leave the planet just yet. Instead, go down some stairs on either side of the boss room. Origin should be sitting there waiting for you... walk towards it and claim your prize for all your hard work...

Seriously though, this is easier said than done, and I will be making a special section just for tips on surviving the game with every artifact on.

Tips On Getting Origin
As stated earlier, Origin is ridiculously hard to get. While some artifacts are only useful, others are a hassle to have on and make for a truly chaotic experience.

First of all, having two or more people will make this significantly easier, as you can split into groups and search the whole map for the teleport, cutting your time (and thus difficulty) down. If you choose this method, which I highly recommend you do, you should have each player play as a different character and find a team that works well for you.

Know your artifacts. This should be obvious, but don't try doing a run with all the artifacts on if you aren't sure/haven't played around with what they all do. While this guide has short descriptions for each, you'll really need to mess with them yourself to get a hang of them.

Keep your distance from enemies. With all the enemies being elites and the Glass artifact active, death will come swiftly if you aren't careful. You of course need to still hurt the enemies and this can be done in many ways. One would be to use someone like the Miner or Bandit and quickly weave in and out of groups of enemies, laying down attacks that can hurt multiple at once. If you don't have a character that can do that, then trying to find a different platform that is level with the enemies you want to kill and hitting them from a distance is your next best bet. Failing that, just running in and out dealing small amounts of damage is really your only choice.

Stay together. This will mostly apply to after finding the teleport or after getting to a high difficulty level. In earlier stages, you'll still want to split up to find that teleport as quickly as possible. Also, if playing in multiplayer, try and share item boxes to some extent so that it doesn't end up with one player carrying. You'll be sorry if you reach the last level and all your teammates die instantly because you have all the items.

Lastly, and as has been implied many times now, HURRY. Don't stick around one area for too long, or you'll lose a limb and die from the swarm of enemies. If someone finds the teleport, activate it right away and try your best to keep moving. Even if you need to pick up the items that enemies are dropping, minimize the time it takes to choose which item you want. The lower your time when you make it to the final level, the easier it will be.

Thank you all for reading, we hope this guide has proven useful in your quest for artifact collection.

For Sacrifice as Chef, use Sear. Ideally with a bunch of jetpacks so you can slow your fall

It is incorrect that Huntress can't break the wall in Dried Lake that leads to the artifact puzzle. She can. You have to use her R (cluster bomb)

fyi the buttons for the glass challenge are timed, so you are likely going to need a ranged attack or a speed boost in order to hit all of the buttons on time

@remitsuki you just need to shoot it a lot. Keep spamming any ranged attack you have, and eventually it will open. It might take anywhere from 5 seconds to 15.
