Intro/Things needed
This achievement guide is meant as an easy walkthrough for getting the achievements Great Balls of Fire, Pow! Pow!, Tenderized, as well as ALL the killstreak achievements. This is pretty much a foolproof setup that is all but guaranteed to get you at least those achievements. It is probably possible to grab a couple more using this guide, such as Giblet Storm, and if you are really brave, the setup could be used to get Tunnel Vision as well. Though doing so is exponentially more difficult than just using Archers/Paladins on The Bridge to grab Tunnel Vision and No Traps for You!, so you should probably avoid doing so unless you like a challenge.

The setup here abuses pathing glitches in the orcs to basically pile up massive clumps of orcs that can be killed extremely easily with no fear of them trying to progress through the level towards the rift. And as I said, this strategy is pretty much foolproof, so no relying on spring traps to keep orcs from moving.

All you will need for this, is access to the level Killing Fields, at the end of act 2. At this level, you will have all traps/Weapons needed for the achievements I mentioned earlier.
Level Setup

So here is a general trap selection for this level. No upgrades are really necessary, so don't worry if you don't have upgraded versions of traps. The only one absolutely needed is the barricade. It is the most important part of this setup. Other traps/weapons you take will depend on what achievement you want.

Note: This setup can be used to easily 5-skull this map as well. So while the Decoys are not mandatory, they are extremely recommended if you want to finish the level, as Sappers and Gnoll Hunters in later rounds will ruin you when attempting to use this setup.

If you are confused as to where you should place these barricades on the map, take note of the minimap in the upper right for assistance

This setup is really easy, and only requires you to place 6 barricades to break the entire map. So starting on the left side of the map, place two barricades to block off the tunnel on this side like so:

Your next two barricades should block off the center of the map like so:

And the final two barricades will be placed on the right side of the map in a staggered position. Now I have not played around too much with this setup, but to my understanding, the barricades must be placed exactly like so. Moving them around may cause orcs to walk through like you think they would, and blocking off the path completely will just cause them to break the barricades.

If you need help with that setup, than just place the first barricade in the center of the archway, lined up with the shadow. The second barricade will not even be able to be placed directly next to it, and will automatically jump back half of a block to be placed like so.

Afterward, simply start the wave and head upstairs to overlook the fun. Now instead of pathing through/around the barriers, the game registers that there is no way for the orcs to pass, but for some reason they are not told to attack the barricades. This leads them to pile up in front of the barricades in a massive group that makes for some extremely easy kills.

Who Wants Some?! and below
In order to get the 40x combo Achievement, and all the ones below, you only need the first wave which includes 40 orcs. Simply let them all pile up like in the picture above, then let loose with a couple of fireballs from your Flame Bracers. At least 2 shots will be needed, maybe one extra. Just make sure that they are as clumped up as they can get before firing.

Aaaannd bam. There's your 40x. Easy enough right?

Note: If you don't get it, either restart and try again because it's the first level, or keep going through the level as there will be other opportunities to get it.
Tenderized
In order to get Tenderized you need to get 50 Pounder kills in one level. It might not look like it, but yes, it is also possible to get it on this level.

Using the same setup as before, simply add a Pounder or two above your barricades like so:

You will need to put the Pounder right against the edge for it to work. You can put one on either side, as the orcs clumped up in front of the barricades will trigger the Pounder and get smacked, despite not being directly underneath it.

Now note, you won't get the achievement right away. It will probably take a few rounds before it unlocks, as it needs to kill 50 orcs during the span of the entire level, and it can only kill a handful at a time this way due to the Pounder not being directly over the orcs. It is also incapable of killing Kobolds, so keep that in mind. But just keep the level going and it will pop before long.
Pow! Pow!
In order to get this relatively easy achievement, just bring along Boom Barrels with you. You will need to kill 50 orcs with Boom Barrels on a level to get it. Using the same setup, wait for the orcs to clump up, and drop a Boom Barrel close by:

Give the barrel a quick nudge with your crossbow, and boom!

Again, it won't pop right away, as it needs a few more than just a handful of kills, though depending on how many orcs you can blast with each barrel, it will probably be a lot sooner than Tenderizer.
Great Balls of Fire!
This is a notoriously hard achievement for many, and what do you know, this setup also makes it a breeze. In order to grab this achievement you will need to kill 300 orcs on one level with the Flame Bracers. With limited energy (mana?) even with using the elemental weaver, it can be fairly difficult to do this on any level while at the same time trying to keep the orcs from escaping.

There really doesn't need to be any pictures for this one, simply wait for the orcs to clump up, and drop a couple fire balls on their heads and this achievement will pop before too long.
Closing Thoughts
The setup here goes to show how buggy barriers are in OMD1. While slightly less buggy in the sequel, they managed to retain quite a few oddities, especially in the classic levels of OMD2.

This setup could potentially be used for a couple of other achievements, such as the Tunnel Vision and potentially No Traps for You. Though this is absurdly difficult, due to Sappers in the later rounds, and the Gnoll Hunters. Ice Bracers can make quick work of the hunters, but the Sappers will destroy too many barricades too quick and you will have to scramble to replace them and kill any orcs that may have snuck through. Just stick with The Bridge level and Archers with Steel Weaver upgrades for the trapless achievements.

This strategy can also be used to easily 5-skull this level, though your score won't really be of anything to note. Simply bring along any extra traps you want, along with some Decoys and make quick work of orcs that are stuck, and let your Decoys take care of the Gnoll Hunters. Simply watch the center barriers on Sapper rounds, especially on round 12 and you will be set.

Concerning getting Giblet Storm on this level and setup, it should be quite possible. I already had it unlocked when I tripped over this, so I'm not sure if it will unlock. Gibbing an enemy simply means blowing them into pieces. I am not certain if blowing up an enemy with Flame Bracers or Boom Barrels will count towards it, but if it does, getting Great Balls of Fire! will almost certainly unlock Giblet Storm as well.

not sure what is so hard with Great Ball of Fire achiv, I just threw fireballs when they pilled up exactly on the same level as 40 killing spree, just took 5 waves or something.

this worked perfectly for me on warmage, thanks for the help.

@Wiinsomniacs is right - that trick works only on Apprentices mode.
And to the author, your guide was helpful, but here is a lot of redundant information and words. In short, tell the name of level, difficulty and then add screenshots how you place barricades. And that's it! Simple and clear!

Setup worked flawlessly for me, thanks for the guide!

Was having a real hard time getting anything above a 20 kill-streak, but your guide helped. Thanks!

P.S. I think the issue other people were having was being on the War-Mage difficulty. I tried that at first and it failed, but once I dropped to Apprentice it worked like a charm.

The achievements might take a while to pop-up when you achieve them, so that might be the case.

So can anyone who is having issues with my setup add me up so I can see what is going on? The setup I posted still works for me flawlessly and I need to figure out if I need to update the guide or not. >>

It seems you need to place the barricades staggered in both sides, but other than that, it works.
