Your job is to buy "cages" and optionally respond to emails regarding them. Each cage is represented by an LED light on a grid. A sound will play and the light will flash when there is activity. Clicking on the light will focus on the cage. Clicking on words and objects will add them to your notebook. Clicking on words in your notebook (up to two) will add them to a Web Search and allow you to obtain more information. Some cages require an extra camera, night vision, or recording to solve them.

You start losing health once you reach 50% hunger, so don't starve yourself. Sometimes you can restart the day in order to get a different discount on food. Make sure to buy food in bulk. I recommend Chinese Food or Pizza as your main food source. Coffee is also very useful. You can stock up on 99 of each food item.

There are 3 achievements related to your morality (bad/neutral/good). The "best" ending can be obtained if you are good. You can increase your morality by tipping, donating money to your neighbor, and being a good person. You can reduce your morality by accepting mail for the wrong address, blackmailing, or hurting people. You receive a plant on Day 2 that gives you a hint at your morality.

You unlock extra jobs after completing certain cages. These show up as smaller sticky notes on your door.

You can record videos of cages. Recording a video and then clicking on it will give you a prompt to send the video to ShockTV. Sending the video can earn you money if the it contains sex, violence, or something illegal.

Day 2 - Wylon's Witnesses give you a plant
Day 5 - Rank 2 evaluation (9 cages required by end of day)
Day 6 - ProOwl Mart installed, Night Vision enabled
Day 8 - Police move in
Day 10 - Rank 3 evaulation (16 cages required by end of day)
Day 14 - Wylon's Witnesses pick up the plant
Day 15 - Final day (25 cages required by end of day)

Spend the first 2-4 days working jobs, buying food, paying rent, and sleeping. DO NOT watch the cages until after you have bought 8-9 of them. This maximizes your time because it allows you to watch more cages simultaneously. The only exception to this is if you get the Janitor at the start of the game because there is a time limit on helping him.

Buy 10+ Chinese Food or Pizza at half price within the first 3 days. Restart a day until you get a food discount and a good set of 4-8 hour jobs. Only buy cages after buying food, paying rent, and then saving up $200+. You can skip paying rent 2 days in a row, so use this to your advantage. Eventually you should buy some Coffee at half price. Don't buy Fruit until later in the game when your health gets low.

Solving a cage "closes" it and prevents you from interacting with it. This means you cannot take notes or perform anymore web searches for that cage. To maximize profit you should solve a cage AND answer to the study question email. Answering a study question correctly earns you $70 or more. If the study question says [CLOSES CAGE] then make sure and solve the cage before answering the email.

2. Call him and tell him to pursue his dreams. He will send you $50 every 3 days.
   
3. Blackmail him and he will disappear.

Call Jason's wife and prove to her that you are a friend by telling her that he likes romance novels. Tell her that you know where he is and respond truthfully (secret organization). She will hang up and a lawyer will call you back.

1. Accept the lawyer's offer of $300 to be silent. Jason will die and you will lose a ton of morality.
   
2. Decline the lawyer's offer and the wife will call later and send you Mr. Cannonball which is worth $120. You will also gain morality.

   • Ask for the nudes which are worth $195.
     
   • Ask for free limousine rides. This reduces the time it takes to go to the store to 10 minutes instead of 60.
     
   • Ask for money. She will send you $16-$20 every day ("Ton of money" gives the most).

Record the broadcasts 3 days in a row and send them to ShockTV. They will give you $120, $60, and $30. After the third video the government will send a rescue shuttle (4th day) and she will be saved (5th day).

Make sure you have the word "umbrella" on your notepad. Then call Melissa's house during the first 3 days between 18:00 and 18:45 and the son will pick up. Tell him you are working on saving his mother. If you do this then Melissa will call after she is rescued and reward you with an umbrella (worth $10).
