I bought it a few days ago, never got any problem with it, I think they actually fixed the malware (or modders), though they literally give 0 communication on Steam Forums (+ 0 explanations other than "- Fixed chat" in patchnotes) so that doesn't make it any better, and only talk on discord. My AV never got alerted since the time i've been playing. I think it's safe now.

anyone reading this should come with a mining permit and safety gloves.

1. you'll need the permit to dig up old news
2. safety gloves so you don't cut yourself ON THAT EDGE

That's old news already, malware part was injected by someone else via RCE through chat system.
And it's all fixed long ago.
